Paramount Studio said that they had to put just the Dolby Digital Plus soundtrack on the Transformers HD DVD movie because the TrueHD would NOT FIT!
I HATE HD DVD!

Ditto. I rarely watch the extras except gag reels on comedies (I know, a guilty pleasureI say put less stupid extras on there that nobody watches anyway, and use the space for TrueHD, or start using 50 gb HD DVD discs.
What? But you already have the A2?In that case, I'll buy your XA1 for $50

And I quote from the article:By the way, Transformers got 5 stars out of 5 for Audio even with DD plus.
http://hddvd.highdefdigest.com/1110/transformers.htmlNote that although I'm giving this audio mix five stars, that doesn't mean I agree with Paramount's decision to forgo high-res audio on this title. Without a TrueHD or PCM mix to compare this one to, there's no way of telling how much better such a track might have been, but based on the upgrade I've seen with other titles, I'm guessing a high-res mix could well have trounced this one. That's not to take anything away from this truly exceptional mix, but this is one case where I think you truly can improve upon perfection.
Transformers was 5th for 2007..behind Shrek3, Harry Potter, PotC and Spiderman 3.For the number one box office movie of the year, I just can't believe they would not go all out for it! What a shame.
Yep, but I have a nice LCD in the bedroom that would love to meet that XA1What? But you already have the A2?

Can you IMAGINE the cajones it would take for hi-def formats to start coming out with second-release "Special Editions" of their movies already? I would die of laughter if they were that stupid.Hmmmm do I smell a special edition in the future?
*****US Total Overseas WorldThat's funny, according to box office gross, it finished 3rd. Either way it is rated higher than all those movies, according to the votes.![]()
