Guinness is one of my favorites. With it being a stout, some find it too heavy.
I supposed it's because most of us started our drinking careers
with watery Lagers, served very cold. We didn't know (Dare I say:
real beer) had body and taste.
A stout, I guess it's an acquired taste.
In the early 90's Bell Labs sent my to school for a week, out in California. After that, I took a few extra days and drove up the coast, to Washington.
I met friends their, and they introduced me to the world of Brew Pubs.
Since then, bottled watery Lager type beers were a thing of the past.
It was like comparing a pre-packaged cupcake, to one, homemade, by Martha Stewart.
