I always default to Marantz. For me I love having the option to have a dedicated amp down the road for all of the channels should I want it. Add to that the Marantz sound quality and build quality, and it’s a no-brainer. I’ve owned a highly reviewed and recommended Sony before my Marantz, and since switching I’m never going back. I’m always open to new brands and products, but I will always have a Marantz around as my go-to.

Right now Sony because their STR-1080DN had been fantastic.

I always liked Denon
Seems to be the most reliable
And they had the hdcd cd players

Marantz.

Wanted to step up to an Atmos config (from the same house - either Marantz or Denon) ever since I have been pleased with current one - AVR X1300. Infact when I purchased current one wanted a predecessor of this model but couldnt stretch budget for all at the same time. The give away, if I win :), would enable a full blown 7.2.4 setup. Of course once I add 1) a discrete stereo amp for the fronts 2) 2nd subwoofer 3) 3 more pairs of speakers (preferably concentrics like current)

Coming from a Denon owner I like Marantz. Using things like copper chassis and toroidal transformers in there flag ship a/v recievers like the 8012 is something only seen in stand alone amplifiers and other high end, high priced receivers not on our voting list. I am very much interested in seeing marantz’s successor to that 8012 model. But I have champagne taste on a beer budget. So a Marantz 6013 would be a nice upgrade from my Denon x3400.

I chose a Pioneer receiver at the time 7-8 years ago because it provided what I wanted (7.1) and at a relatively cheap price!

Marantz is my all-time favorite for quality and features, but my last 2 AVRs were Onkyo due to bang for the buck.

I remember being 6 years old and listening to my dad's vintage Marantz system with big over-the-ear cans.

Two main systems, Denon AVRs run each.
Congratulations on 20 years. Thank you for the no b.s. reviews and commentary.

Marantz.
I like that pretty much all of their receivers have multichannel outputs as I use an external amp.

c. Yamaha (Aventage) - It got good reviews and I've been happy with mine for several years.

I’ve have used Harman Kardon avr’s In the past and was never disappointed, but they started to fall short when it came to newer technologies. I love the sound and quality of their receivers. I came across a good deal on a Yamaha avr rx-v 581 and fell in love. I had never used Yamaha and now I have actually upgraded to my second unit . It’s an rx-v585 and I only upgraded for the Dolby vision pass through feature the 581 didn’t have. I’m very happy with Yamaha at the moment but give me any home theater equipment and I’ll use it for sure. I’m a home theater and audio enthusiast so anything affordable and good quality is worth a shot! I’ve never been able to afford a big money product like some of denon’s or marantz products so this would definitely be appreciated. Thanks for the opportunity . Check out my unboxing of my current avr

Yamaha. SQ and reliability. Have read too many user/customer reviews of spotty reliability and poor customer service with other brands like Marantz, Denon, and Pioneer--despite their SQ. If it doesn't last past the warranty, what's the point?

Marantz, although I am starting to look at Anthem.

I've also owned Pioneer and Onkyo. I found Onkyo to be very user-friendly, the hardware failed after only a few years. The Pioneer is not as user-friendly but has A LOT more customization options and has much more longevity, (still going strong since 2014!) but high frequencies are a little unnaturally etched. But any Marantz unit I've owned is the best of both worlds plus more power and more features.

Onkyo/Integra
Unfortunately, can't vote- It's just a list of brands, there is no way to actually "vote".

When it comes to power, no one comes close to Onkyo/Integra,, so that's my vote, but I understand many people have reliability issues with them- not me though!
