Ive been a long time follower, No place has better info on the industry!
Ive been moving to a separates system for a long time. Buying an amp here and an amp there as I can, using an onkyo Rz-820 for the interim. The last step I have yet to take is the processing side. Ive got all my amps and speakers ready! Thanks for running this contest! Winner or not, Ive learned a ton from your content over the years. Thanks for all you guys do!!

I'm a new to this,found your video on $750 5.1 surround system and got me thinking that a separates system would be a better than a sound bar long term.The Marantz Av7705 would be a nice upgrade from my Yamaha sound bar and a 30 year old Sony system.

time to say goodbye to Onkyo after 10 years. After hours researching, found Marantz to be the way to go. Both AVR and Processors are rated very highly. Since I am starting from scratch, skipping typical AVR or separates is the dedicated way to go to seriously enjoying my love of reggae music. Thanks for the opportunity.

Always used separate components until my AV receiver was ruined while in storage and I just didn't have the time to look for a replacement and ultimately ended up in a space too small for such things. Things have changed since then so now I'm looking to get back into home theater.

Having a little more time and some deployment money in pocket, I've been getting back into audio equipment and have been seriously considering going the separates route to upgrade my current part 70s, part 90s stereo setup of hand me downs. I grew up in a musical family (My mom's family was their own local band when I was a kid) and have been a hobbyist musician, mostly at church, my whole life. I doubt I have golden ears by audiophile/stereo standards, but singing and playing the violin teaches your ears a lot about sound! So I've been doing a LOT of reading and some listening at the store. Winning this would definitely send me down the preferred (but initially expensive) separates path!

I like separates because of each individuals taste for sound. I always want separates because you make it yours. Different sounds and quality for different genres (music, movies, etc.) Just my take on it.

Video tech is changing too quickly and throwing away a perfectly good amplifier just feels wrong.
