I mean you just had AOC down in Florida maskless and catching Covid
She is pretty cute but other than that, I could give a sh!t what she does.

And if you don't know to stay out of Fla? Fla is probably the least of your issues.

Other options for role models are encouraged here, except for like beauty tips.

She actually is pretty cute. But alas being mostly conservative I don't stand a chance.

Thank God for ports :D

And its just the conservative thing holding me back. The fact that I've been told I look like a cross between a Wookie and a Grizzly bear has Nothing to do with it

Seriously, I have no life.
I've worn MOP gear. Every tiny air leak is important.

Masks are useless to protect oneself unless you're wearing goggles that seal over your eyes.

If you have tubes in your ears, they would need to be plugged as well.

I don't care how fancy a n95 you have on. It was designed for dust.
It's all about particle size and if the aerosol is larger than the mask can pass, it will be stopped. At .3 microns, COVID aerosol can pass through, but the cloud density would have to be high for a large amount to get through and N95 masks are supposed to stop 95% of it. With any breeze, the cloud will disperse well enough that it really should't be a problem for most people unless they're in its direct path.

There was never any attempt to stop ALL of the airborne particles, it was about reducing the intake enough to prevent serious illness.

Most interesting. I had not considered eyes as a portal issue. Goggles might have been a bridge too far for mandates though.

New Zealand's capital sees its own convoy protest against COVID-19 restrictions | CBC News
Looks like Canada has become an influencer nation...and not in a good way.

Meanwhile, back in Ottawa...
Protest supporters threaten tow truck operator for relocating protesters' shack | CBC News

The protest organizers asked him to haul the shack away. That didn't stop the loonies from making death threats against him and his family.
So much for the 'Canadians are unbearably polite' stereotype.

I don't know what to think anymore.

I have some friends in the Western Provinces that would strongly disagree with that stereotype!

Covid fatigue will and is going to express itself in many ways. This trucking situation will not help with empty shelves and inflation already an issue.

You and me both.
The responsibility rests on Ford, the Ontario prime. Trudeau is at the Federal level but the responsibility is that of the province. They should however have more police force to apply the laws and force the truckers out. Cutting the food supply and fuel is a good start but is not enough.

Several days ago in a previous post, I was suggesting a daily fine of $1000 for each recalcitrant truck driver.

In Quebec, the city's mayor and the prime did set the rules and were prepared for the event. The manifestation is over with no major incident.

What's interesting to me about this article is really if you take there gas and stuff how are you actually going to tow these big rigs out of there? This isn't a Honda Accord were talking about here. And there are hundreds of these massive vehicles you have to tow.

Damn this is 10 days straight of this I'm wondering how long it's going to go

Okay a few things here working in nursing I'm here to tell you if you are not wearing a KN95 or N95 masks are WORTHLESS.

If they have not been Fit Tested even as an N95 or KN95 they are worthless

You go in they put a bag over your head and they tighten and adjust your masks and try different sizes as they spray a scented mist inside the bag until you can no longer detect any smell from any angle. They are tight as heck by the time I get home from work I got stretch marks all over my face. They are not fun to wear for 8 hours or more at all

If your not doing that you might as well be wearing your underwear or a diaper on your face the misinformation I keep hearing about masks is frustrating.
Hey Dan, was sent this today. Have see this before in NYC but thought it was a one off from someone leaving a "Nail Salon" but I guess its a thing.
It is not mentioned in the article if using previously leg worn ones are better for you.

Man this is the first I've heard of that one. They sure aren't telling us this in Covid training at work! :D

I'll have to ask some of my doctors at work if this is legit or not

Apart from almost practical impossibility of towing those big trucks, No, the towing companies won't tow them as they are the same ones servicing them when they have problems on the road.

IMO, the solution is police and law enforcement with stiff fines.
