Hey, everyone I can only tell you about my short time in this I love my m-lores. They sound great to me , but I am new to this I only had a set of bic speakers and a pioneer receiver 1021-k. . So anything I moved up to was better. But for me they work fine my umc-200 and my xpa-5 200 watts per channel work great,, love watching movies and cranking it up on my day -off. But like I said I am new at this would like more info how to set my speakers up I have only used the calibration on my umc-200. nice to meet everyone . I will say this I did blow a speaker, called eric and I had a new one in about a week. emotive their stuff seem great a lot lower priced good service,,,,,
Jolida FX10 might also be a good amp for the M-Lores. 10 watt per channel. Should give you that fullness and all the micro details even at very low volumes/ and ImcLoud (a Lore owner) also is running his Lores on Jolida amps....

You can't know for sure, without any shadow of a doubt, unless you do it blind and without knowing which is which. You spend enough time (not much) learning about brain research and it's amazing what it can do to what you think you hear. The subconscious is the gatekeeper between sensory input and conscious thought and you have zero control over it. Always remember that.

One last fun fact. When looking comparing brain activity during times when you are conscious and when you are in REM sleep, the difference is like looking at a light bulb (conscious) and looking at the sun (REM sleep). Which has led to all sorts of interesting conundrums, which I won't bring up here. Cool stuff, brain research. Some of the most fun classes I had in college.
There is currently a series on TV (can't remember, I think Discovery or maybe History) that I highly rec. It is called "Your Bleeped Up Brain". I think it is a 6-part (1 hour each) series and it is really good. They go throough classic blunders in history and how this could have happened. They also go through various illusions and magic tricks, it will really mess with your mind. No trick photography or computer generated tricks, all classic tricks of proportion and visual tricks.

Check it out and you quickly realize how flawed your own perception of reality really is. When we are confronted with something that we don't understand, we fill in the blanks with fabricated reality to keep our world consistent with our expectations for the world.

I read this one scientific article, or rather the professor brought it in, and it was all about if we really have control of our actions or if our subconscious is actually laying things out and we're only doing what it's nudging us to do. It was mind bottling. You know, like your mind is in a bottle.

Yup. Everyone tends to think they fall into the category of "not me" when you start talking about how easily the mind can be deceived. The fact is that it is hard-wired into everyone and for some things it was/is essential to human survival. Magicians and con artists realize these flaws and manipulate people to see what they want to see.

The coolest thing on that series I mentioned is even when they prove something, and I absolutely know what I am seeing, it is still hard to convince myself as to what I am seeing. For example, they do an illusion with a chess board where they ask which square is darker of the 2. Well, 1 square obviously looks darker, but in reality they are the exact same shade of gray. When he gets another square that is same shade and holds it up to each one, you see 100% that they are the same shade. When he removes the square, it is pretty much impossible to believe that they are the same shade.

He hardly has the time to build speakers.. I dont think he has any time to research into speaker owners addresses and give them to you. I think there might be some privacy issues as well. Daniel (the production manager) should be the one providing you that list if somehow both parties (owners of tekton products) agree to have their information out to public... but when I placed my order last week he told me he didnt even have time for lunch so again, i doubt they have the time to dig into addresses.

Far from the point. First, usually ID company owners keep a list of owners willing to demo their speakers because they have no retail chain. Secondly, if e-mails from potential customers or interested parties go unanswered for weeks at a time, I fail to see how that is supposed to inspire confidence in spite of their other business practices.

From what I can tell his bussiness motive is simply product first , then customer service.

I dont think Tekton is one of the many other ID brands that keeps a list of owners. It is a ID bussiness after all, and they have many online reviews from both pro and owners to state about their product. Pretty much a word of mouth.

That is why I think all these negative posts about Tekton products from those who have never heard them is hard trolling on a bussiness like Tekton that is ID company.

So an Internet Direct Company, that has no people to meet face to face with 90%+ of their potential customers puts customer service anywhere else but first? I'd like you to think about that for a second and how insane that sounds.

Find another ID company with that kind of philosophy, or at least a successful one. Or any other company for that matter.

Tekton is actually exactly THAT comapny you are talking about. Their bussiness is blooming. About two weeks ago a guy over at AVS couldnt get his Pendragons because Tekton ran out of all tweeters...

Its an ID company, that is why Eric has sent his products to numerous "big" online pro reviewers to assess their speakers. Product first, then customer service.

Did anyone else notice this "SearchofSub a forum troll idiot that just begs for attention" that is kind of harsh isn't it, lol first time I ever seen that under some ones name... wow...

Anyway, you may remember about 40 pages of posts ago I said , this is going no where and doing more harm than good for Tekton, well guess what, it went no where, and more negative things about tekton have been thrown about at a constant 5 post a day rate... What is the point of this???

Get your speakers, then post pics and your opinions on them, if I have to read 8 more weeks of this, I may have to sell my Lores just not to be a part of it, lol...

Its obvious Eric is busy, under staffed, and not fond of making grills.. The speakers fill a small niche for people that want something different, they sound good in my house anyway, and Im happy with my purchase as Im sure you will be with yours, but let it go, this thread is doing more bad than good for the brand...

Well, I dont really care whats under my name. It is what it is. If the mod's decide to put it there, thats fine. If I get banned, thats fine. Who gives a sh!t? you stated your opinion, thats all it matters. (atleast to me)

Tekton is a bussiness. No one should judge a product or pass on a product by members or people who have never heard them. It dosent make any sense, I am not your daddy nor am I affiliated with Tekton, nor have I heard Tektons, nor have I said any negative things about them.

From what I have heard, and from the owners of Tektons, they are excellent speakers. Only problem is, their customers service... But I think that is getting fixed as well...or atleast getting better.

I dont think I am doing Tektons any good or bad. If their motive for their bussiness is product first and customer service second, then the people who want to try them out should keep that in mind, and when recieving their pair of tekton, bash them if the speakers do not meet your expectations sound-wise... nevermind the friendly reviews, just judge them purely on product. Thats all.

So you should judge speakers that you can't get, can't get information about from the company, and can't demo on their performance?

Curious new concept :D
