Did everyone watch the season finale of Landman?

I really enjoyed this first season of Landman. Billy Bob did a fantastic job playing his character. All the supporting cast did a fine job as well. Hopefully it doesn't take 2 years for season 2 get released. :p

Now we have to wait another month for 1923 season 2!!

I think Sheridan is getting his hands in too many cookie jars. He's got so many shows on at the moment, while his biggest show to date just ended and it didn't really land all that well. I thought Season 2 of Lioness was better than season 1. The ending of season 2 was great, but it didn't feel like an ending. It felt like there could've easily been 1 maybe 2 episodes after. I'm pretty sure Landman is going to end on something "big" happening, then cut to credits. :)

So far, Sheridan can get a show moving, but endings so far aren't his strong suits.
I don’t think anyone’s ending is their strong suits. :D

I am just happy he has many great shows. I can easily “forgive” the finales. :D

Are you peeps watching 1923? If so, what are your thoughts after a few episodes? Liking/disliking? :)

Of course I love 1923. The episodes can’t come soon enough.
Unfortunately, I'm the complete opposite with this season 2. Horrible writing this season. To think we've gone through an entire season 1 and 4 episodes into season 2 and both Spencer and Alexandra are still not even close to Montana, is just stupid at this point. The amount of trouble they keep getting into is borderline stupid. If either of them coughs funny, they'll end up in a horrible situation. There is nothing going on at the Dutton ranch except for crazy wild animals, like a wolf that can open doors and windows and just savagely eat some sleeping woman. Hahaha! that was dumb. The villain of the show is now wanting to pull the same thing they did in Yellowstone. Build a ski resort, roads, runway and other, all on the Dutton Ranch. Same story, different time period.

Hate to say it, but this is not what I was expecting after waiting 2 years after the last season. Nothing has really progressed and all the episodes are just filler at this point. Everything is predictable as well. I can tell what's going to happen within 10 mins of the episode. So far this season gets a very low rating. Lets hope the final few episodes ramp it up and actually get something done or progress the story.

It does have less action so far than S01. But I am more forgiving. Each episode goes by fast. Pace will probably pick up toward climax of season.

I'm really trying to like this season, but it's been hard. When you have two elite level Hollywood actors in Ford and Mirren you can't really be wasting that kind of talent on the show. Then throw in Dalton and Robert Patrick. I think Patrick's character has been played well. I love Dalton, but I'm over his weird sexual fetish stuff. That entire subplot in the show is just a waste of time. They need to stick to what he plans on doing and how he's going to fight the Dutton's for that land. Just my two cents on this season so far. We already know a season 3 is happening, so it's just a matter of how they're going to end season two. Will Spencer and Alexandra FINALLY get to Montana??? hahaha :D

That might be the #1 thing that has frustrated some fans.

But again, I am more forgiving. I'm enjoying the ride. No complaints from me. :D

So I guess this next Sunday's episode is the "Series Finale". It will be 2 hours long.

Guess they are ending the show with only 2 seasons. Haven't really looked into the reason why, but my guess is the stars of the show Ford and Mirren don't want to get locked into a long drawn out series. Even though the ratings are very good for this show and people are watching. Sign me up to work 2 months out of the year and make $20 million for doing it. I will work as many seasons as you want at that wage. haha! :p

Dang. Hope they learned their lessons.

Avoid using OLDER actors like Kevin Costner, Ford, and Mirren.:D

Use younger actors who have plenty of TIME and energy for many seasons. .D

OK. Just saw the 1923 Series finale. I would say overall S02 was a bit disappointing. Writing wasn’t as good as S01. Still glad I saw it. :D

That was a very forced series finale. Even with an almost 2 hour runtime. They had to shove every characters ending in this one. I'm not sure why they decided to pull the trigger on this show so fast. The ratings are very good for Paramount. The way they just gave up on some characters here at the end, really made the entire journey pointless. It was all for nothing. Though they had to throw in the birth to make it something. We had to throw out the brain for 2 hours. Don't think about it, just go with it. Haha. Jacob Dutton literally stood in the middle of all the gun fire, barely moved and never got shot once. While everyone around him was wounded or shot dead. I'm guessing Harrison Ford just said "F it, I'm just going to stand here." The big payoff of Spencer FINALLY getting home, was nowhere near what I was expecting. Which might be what the general consensus for a lot of viewers.

Overall, it was a terrible second and final season, but I guess having a season is better than no season. Haha :)
