I wanted to start a Taylor Sheridan post so people could talk about any of the current shows that were created by Sheridan. Be it Landman, Lioness, Tulsa King, Mayor Kingstown, Yellowstone, 1883 and 1923 and more! Any discussions on his movies are also welcome.

Looking forward to seeing the feedback and discussions on this thread. Hopefully we can keep it pretty active! :D

You know I love anything that Taylor Sheridan writes/directs/produces/creates including shows you listed (he also produced Lawmen Bass Reeves) and movies like Sicario 1 & 2, Wind River, Hell or High Water, Without Remorse, Those Who Wish Me Dead, Finestkind.

If he is really involved with the shows or movies, I will watch! :D

One of his next new shows after "Landman" is a Yellowstone spinoff "The Madison".

I was thinking you'd be the first to post! hahaha! :D

I know you are a huge fan. He's doing some really good work right now. Paramount had to have locked him up for years at this point. Give this guy a 10 year deal worth over $150+ million at this point. He's bringing in huge business for Paramount. Easy money if you ask me.

I think I've seen everything that he's produced/written/directed, except for one documentary about some cowboy rodeo stuff. I usually hate docs and comedies. :D

But yeah, Taylor Sheridan is definitely #1 on my list of writers/directors/producers.

I think the one you’re talking about is called “the last cowboy”. It’s a competition series about reigning horses. It’s pretty cool. We ride horses so…
I can’t think of anything he’s done that isn’t awesome. Love his work.

I'm really liking this Landman show. Only "issue" I'm having so far is the daughter. I'm not sure what Sheridan was thinking when writing for this daughter or the overall arch of her character. She's the same actress from 1923. I don't know if Sheridan wrote her character in at the last minute or what. But, I highly doubt a daughter would ever say the crap that comes out of her mouth to her father. Two episodes in and everything surrounding the daughter is sex related. She's 17 years old surrounded by old guys and she walks around in skimpy outfits around her dad. Hahaha. Of course as a viewer, she's great to look at, but just thinking of how her character is supposed to push the story forward, I'm not seeing it. Haha! :D

Besides the daughter issue, Billy Bob was perfect for the lead in this show. A true Texas man. Billy Bob plays this role like it's very natural for him. Like he could actually be this guy and do this job. Shows you how great an actor he really is.

Looking forward to more episodes!

I've only checked out the beginning 5 minutes or so of episode 1, and it looked typical bad-a$$ Taylor Sheridan style.

Have to wait for my wife to watch this weekend since she's also a big fan.

Yellowstone + Lioness + Landman all running concurrently? Tulsa King season 2 just ended or else it would have been 4 concurrent shows. I don't think anyone has 3 shows all running at the same time like this. It's great. :D

Add "Mayor of Kingstown" + "1923" + "Bass Reeves" and that's 7 total active ongoing shows. Who has 7 active ongoing shows? Next year when Yellowstone is completed, "The Madison" will take over to keep the 7 active ongoing shows running. :D

I read they are doing a sequel to "Wind River" (written and directed by Taylor Sheridan). Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that Taylor Sheridan has any involvement with the sequel. :(

I haven't watched Tulsa King yet. I watched first season of Mayor of Kingstown and thought it was alright. Bass Reeves was a good show. Short, but good. They're moving very slow on getting the second season of 1923 out. It shouldn't take this long to get a show out like that. All the stars said they would come back and were ready to go. So not sure what the hold up is.

Looking forward to seeing where they take Yellowstone. We're only getting 6 episodes. My gut is telling me that Matthew McConaughey is going to make an appearance in the final episode. Since all the rumors were saying they were bringing him in to continue the series but go in a different direction (story-wise). Is that what The Madison is going to be?

Now that I have the 4k of Wind River, I will be watching that very soon. :)

Sheridan must have a deal with Michelob Ultra! Have now seen his characters drinking it in two different shows! :p

Not hardly…..
American and female! Some selective quoting. :p

>>Michelob would be best described as an ‘American Lager’, which is to say a pale light lager [i.e. close to water]. This style was introduced by using domestic American ingredients such as corn to try and replicate the German lager. <<<

>>>Michelob Ultra has more female drinkers than any other beer, per Marques. <<<

It's the beer the gym rats drink. They think with it's low carbs and cals they can get away with having a few while maintaining their physique's.

As Billy Bob say's in Landman "it's basically water."

Ok fine. It IS American. But it’s NOT beer. In my world beer is stout, porter, New England IPA, or a plain lager like Samuel Adams etc.
don’t give a Fukk about calories or carbs.
David Scott will probably blow me up, but I can handle it.

Yeah gym rats lol.
I figure I piss out better “beer” after a night of drinking than ultra is right out of the bottle. lol.
Plus, the abv is so low you have to drink a 12 pack to get in the mood lol. Who can drink that many ultras? At least the grain belt elite doesn’t taste like shitt.

A weird reason for drinking beer as alcohol contains a lot calories.

>>>Wine, beer, cider, spirits and many more of our favourite drinks are made from natural starch and sugar. Fermentation (and distillation for certain drinks) is used to produce the alcohol content.

This is why alcohol contains lots of calories – 7 calories per gram, which is almost as many as a gram of fat. Plus, additional calories can be in added mixer drinks, such as cola or tonic water.

Regularly drinking more than the NHS recommends can have a noticeable impact on your waistline and cause less obvious, but more serious, health problems.<<<
