SVS Ultras vs Revel M16's

You should start a new thread. The purpose of the community is to share and learn. Thread titles show up in google searches which helps bring more contributors, and benefits all.

I think the choice would be between soundstage size (width/height) vs dynamics. I would suspect the SVS speakers would be more dynamic given they are a subwoofer company, whereas the Revel would have a very large soundstage with the waveguide they use.

I have the Revels and they are absolutely killer. If you go to wire cutter, they preferred a lot of other speakers over the SVS Ultra, surprisingly. My money would be the Revels are probably better, especially if you use a subwoofer but if you don’t use a subwoofer, the SVS Ultras.

Floyd Toole once joked on AVS the difference between the different tiers of Revel speakers was mainly the looks/cabinet, and Concerta line was more or less as good as Performa/Ultima lines.
