If you think that one was very average, we watched Thunderbolts, which I had skipped because it looked like another meh Marvel. Turns out, it was No need for a review, aside from the fact that it just tries to setup the next franchises, it was pretty boring. I don't know why people are saying it is good.

Interesting. So, we have two conflicting reviews. We have a "Greatest Marvel movie ever!" all the way down to "boring". Hahaha!

I'm going in with ZERO expectations. Though, I already know I won't be saying it is the "greatest" Marvel movie. Nothing is going to top Infinity War and Endgame. Those are the best two Marvel movies. Period. The first Avengers movie is pretty darn good, but still behind the final two. Then sprinkle in a few of the individual superhero movies behind those 3.

Sinners 4k Disc

PQ- Picture was amazing. The IMAX scenes looked the best. You could tell the difference in quality between the two formats. I would've loved if it was shot entirely in IMAX.

SQ- I won't say it was "demo" worthy, but it's definitely up there for Atmos mixes. I really liked the music in this movie. A couple of the music/dance sequences punched pretty hard. it was great! Had some good height effects as well.

Overall, I'm giving the movie a 9/10. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I loved the time period, setting, actors and the music.

Same directors as Infinity War and Endgame, but it is like a decade after they came up with those. It has more backstory for the characters like those two, and shows their difficulties, but it definitely isn't on the same level as the others.

Enjoyed “The Color Purple“ and “From Dusk Till Dawn” mashup “Sinners.” I’m surprised it came from the writer/director of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” as that one is the worst Marvel movie produced to date. Like a Marvel movie, “Sinners” has a mid-credits scene.

“Avengers” movies are all over the place with plot holes from which no hero could fly out. “Age of Ultron” was a piece of s#%t and has generally been forgotten since release. “Endgame” was an overlong, self indulgent mess. That was really the only one in a few million ways in which they could win? Yikes.

Nobody would have bet he’d make a “Suicide Squad” worse than the first one but he actually pulled it off. Could he have also outdone Snyder in butchering Superman? I had issues with Snyder's Superman. But after watching Gunn's Superman, I hope they go back to Snyder.

Or find a better director like Joseph Kosinski (TRON Legacy, Oblivion, Top Gun Maverick, F1) or Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow, Bourne Identity). But more importantly, hope they have the sense to use good writers (Frank Durabont, Christopher McQuarrie, Taylor Sheridan, Ehren Kruger).

I love Guardians of the Galaxy. But IMO, Gunn seems to be a one-trick-pony.

The last two Avengers movies were all over the place because they were wrapping up the storylines from a dozen other movies, so I get that. It completed the arcs very nicely though. Are they cinematic masterpieces? Nope. But they were good for superhero movies. Almost everything that has come after those has been pretty bad.

It is not superhero fatigue, it is that they are out of ideas because they never read the comics, the stories on which all their characters are based. It is also extremely clear now that they are just looking to setup whatever is next, rather than giving you a decent story in THIS movie. If EVERY movie is just part of another movie and a cash grab, people pick up on that. On top of that is the "homework" that you have to at least have seen a few of the other films to get who some of the characters are and why certain things are happening. They think that helps get the less important films viewership, but they are wrong. Make good movies and people will watch.

It doesn't matter if you throw great directors at these films. The studios are looking for cash cows only and don't care about the quality. You had an Oscar winning director on a Marvel movie, Eternals, and it was utter garbage.

I have low expectations for Fantastic Floor (4). Just from the trailer, it looks very average too.

Look at every director(s) of Marvel movies, I can only think of 1 that had success after they left that franchise. That would be John Favreau. That's because he stayed with Disney and made other big property movies. The Russo brothers outside of Marvel has been atrocious. Their Netflix movies have bombed. James Gunn has not been that successful outside of Guardians. Superman just made $400m globally. That's not going to cut it when starting a brand-new franchise. One could possibly say Ryan Coogler of Black Panther has now had success with Sinners. But that's just his first successful movie after Black Panther. The second Black panther was absolute trash. How as Taika Waititi been doing since Thor Ragnarok? Not too well. Now rumors are saying he's going to direct a Dredd movie.....ugh....

Well, you can like them, but studios care about box office numbers. From the list of movies you provided for each, Eric Pearson had 2 successful movies, Ragnarok and Godzilla vs Kong, but that's not saying much. Black Widow, Transformers One and Thunderbolt all bombed at the box office. Simon Kinberg-All those X-men movies you listed all under performed and or bombed at the box office and are considered the worst X-men movies of the franchise. Days of Future Past is probably the one exception. Sherlock had 3 writers on it. So, it wasn't all Kinberg. Mr and Mrs. Smith did actually quite good. So Kinberg's success came from a one-off remake comedy/action movie starring two big movie stars of the time.

I know some people get so disjointed about the way Clarks dad went in Man of Steel. I actually don't mind it at all and absolutely get why he didn't save him. Yes, at the end of the day we'd all save our fathers if that situation ever occurred, but Clark's father said no, don't expose yourself, the world is not ready, and Clark obeyed his father. That is just what we'll have to accept for Synder's vision, whether we like it or not.

You and I can agree, we both like Man of Steel. Better than this new Superman.

Speaking of parents, wow did Gunn misfire on the actors who portrayed his parents in Superman. The actor for the father was totally miscast. I don't mind him as an actor, but he seemed so off trying to play a father of a superhero and then add in some emotion. Was very cringe. The mother was definitely a person from Kansas. Maybe too much from Kansas. Haha. I've seen some comments saying, "his parents were very trailer park like." I thought Diane Lane and Kevin Costner were perfectly cast as Clarks parents.

Also, I just want to say I'm not a Snyder fanboy. I love 300 and Man of Steel. I like Batman v Superman, and his directors cut of Justice League, but outside of that, I'm not really a fan of his work the last 4-5 years. His Netflix movies were really bad. His writing is not that good, and he needs to calm it down on the slow-motion action sequences.

I think Lane/Costner seemed more like rich city folks than farmers, though. But I am cool with that.

I think the best version of Clark's parents was the Christopher Reeves Superman. His parents seemed like real farmers who were just really nice people.

And the way his dad died of a MI was perfect. The point was that - as powerful as Clark was, sometimes there is absolutely nothing he could do about it (heart attack).

But Gunn's version of Kent parents is just bad, bad, bad. Just bad. Just like the entire movie.

Man, now I'm thinking even Michael Bay could have done a much better job if he had a good writer.

M3GAN 2.0 4K ATMOS Streaming.

PQ. Picture quality looks good. This movie was shot using the Arri Alexa 4K digital camera.

SQ. Overall sound from the streaming is very good. I heard a few overhead sounds, but not much overall. Still, the SQ is very good.

Writing/Story. I like it a lot. I actually think it is just as good as M3GAN 1, and I actually enjoyed it even more than M3GAN 1.

M3GAN 2.0 has TWO robots - M3GAN and Amelia. So both IA robots kick serious A$$.

In M3GAN 2022, M3GAN was basically an "infant", just starting to learn and acting out like a child. But in M3GAN 2.0, she has now matured significantly, which I love. So I love the "character development" of M3GAN.

So I think it has good plot, character development and climax and resolution.

This is the kind of movies I would re-watch many times. So when it comes out on 4K UHD ATMOS, I will watch it again. It is such a fun movie. The writing seems so much smarter than James Gunn. Haha.

Usually, a trailer will get me excited or concerned for a movie. I was both excited and concerned for Gunn’s “Superman.” That costume should be burned and they needed to lighten up on the hair dye. Pa Kent was miscast. That f#%ker has creeped me out since “Identity.”

I am every concerned for “Fantastic Four.” Folks will fall over themselves tearing it apart to get views on Youtube for sure. Marvel has it coming. They shoe horned Captain Marvel into the MCU for use in ”Endgame” and had no real plan after it except to dish out content in high quantity with little regard for quality.

Hahaha! I can forgive Batman V Superman for its flaws. It definitely has them, but the 4k release of that movie is awesome. The sound and picture are very good. The fight in the warehouse with Batman was badass and I wish we got more of that in an Affleck Batman movie.

I need to rewatch all the Reeve Superman's. Haven't seen them since the mid 90's.

I have ZERO interest seeing the new Fantastic 4. The actors, even Pedro are not that exciting. Taking place in a 50's era universe and knowing they will be joining up in other movies, means they'll be using the multi-verse at some point. That's all Marvel is now. Everything involves the multi-verse.

I think Snyder should stop directing lol. He was good at the beginning, nothing really noteworthy since.

Sorry, Ben Affleck absolutely should not be a superhero ever again. The single worst Marvel movie of all time was Daredevil, with Affleck as Matt Murdock. There are a number that come close, but I can't say any are worse than that.

We already know where F4 ties in, and that didn't help that movie and likely won't help F4 either. Thunderbolts.

Do not rewatch ALL of the Reeve movies. “Superman III” and “Superman IV,” ooph!

Poor “Fantastic Four.” Nobody has done them justice yet.
