nope im debating on saving more and getting the pc-12 plus. The rep told me the pb-12 would struggle in my room. i just cant decide if i like the cylinders.
I honestly think you should save up for the PB13- Ultra..its definitely worth it. Not to mention you wont have to worry about it struggling.

ok here is where im at. I started looking at the elemental designs a7s-450 subwoofer, the rythmik f15, also. between the 3 what would be my best bet? The ED has 1300WATTS!!! and every other one is about half. i wanna feel the boom in my chest when i crank her up.

what do you guys think? i know alot of people on here are high on svs.

**EDIT*** after reading more about ED i dont think i want to wait 2 months for a sub nor deal with slow customer service. so they are out for that reason.

how much would you give for a year old pb13-ultra in perfect shape?

If your considering the Rythmik than you could also look into the Epik Empire(maybe duals for less the cost of an ultra). Rythmik subs I've heard have excellent SQ but lack IMO...the high output you're looking for in that room.

Just my 2 cents, Bill

so you think rythmik would be a good choice? im just wondering if a vented or sealed would be best choice. i came across a year old pb13-ultra and am trying to decide on putting in an offer but would be worried about warranty issues since im not original owner.

I actually like my SVS PB 10s quite a bit... great boom for the buck. My situation's a little different - I'm using two of the front-firing 10s in custom cabinetry at the front of a dedicated room. I did two smaller subs so the custom cabinets wouldn't be overly large. I'm so happy with the result my first media room that I'm doing the exact same thing in the room I'm building now.

I have a svs pb-10nsd in a 10'x12'x8' sealed room and it produces a good punch in the chest and vibrates my pant legs. It also does a good job with music. I would imagine that good calibration helps alot. I first used Aud. and then I re-adjusted with a R.S. SPL meter. I'm very happy with this sub, if I wanted more kick I would look into adding a Buttkicker.

For what your looking for and in your budget...ported for sure! I'm not sure but maybe that warranty is transferabe:eek:? If you go with the svs you'll have excellent customer service and a brand you can trust.
Otherwise...good luck ...Bill :)

seriously???
yup....the worst thing they could say is no and come back with a counter offer. Are you looking at the duals in rosenut on audiogon? I've been looking at maybe buying one of those. Im not sure if svs transfers warranty. If they dont, then I dont mind paying an extra 4 to 5 hundred for the warranty. There customer service is that good.

I'm going to call SVS on monday and ask about their warranty. If it is transferable, then I'll make an offer. It wont have to ship because im only about 2 hours away.
