Thanks Speakerman....
Its a really old Cannon, I really liked it when I got it, but I need to upgrade and get something new...

Its nice to be able to try out different subs.... Comparison between the different styles (sealed vs ported) has been great... It has given me the ability to discern how different build quality stacks up against one another...

Getting the F112 really made me appreciate a top of the line build quality product... Next up will be the Dual 15" DIY ported build with amazing drivers, from TC-Sounds/Audiopulse... the company that made drivers for SVS back when..

Shown are 2 - TC-Sounds 15" TC-2000's
These are some of the best drivers available before the company went under... very well respected, and a dam shame they are gone.

This is pretty close to what I will be shooting for... X 2

Well warp that old Canon still takes great pics. Man those drivers look impressive. Hey, how much better, if any, do you think the Fathom F113 would be when compared to the F112? I mean, do you really think there would be much of a difference going from a 12" driver to a 13"??? Just curious is all.

Cheers,

Phil

Phil,

The 13.5" driver from JL Audio displaces 39% more air than the 12" equivalent. So, to answer your question, yes, it does make a sizeable difference.

Guess I spaced that question out... Thanks for helping out annunaki. For my small room the F112 is more then adequate, although I would love to have a second, there is no more room for one.

Nice looking design. They should sound great. When are you going to start that build?

I'm thinking I should be able to get things rolling this fall, after I remodel the master bath.

Too many projects, so little time...

Svs Lives Up To Their Standards

SO I placed my order on friday around 5:30 and the email said i would get an alert when it goes out with a tracking number. So today is monday 2:30 and i didnt receive anything yet. I just emailed SVS and within 2 minutes they got back to me with my tracking info as it was already shipped out!!!!

Awesome....

Every time I ordered from SVS, they shipped out product pretty much the next day... If they have it in stock, it will already be boxed up and just need to be put on a truck, so they are quite efficient about filling orders...

Now the dreaded waiting period ensues and paranoia sets in...

Will it be OK?
What if I have to refuse it because it is damaged??
How will I move it my self?
Did I throw out those Steroids?
What will the old lady say when she sees that behemoth of bass?
Will I be kicked to the curb, I know it is big but I can't live in it?

Now you've got me thinking. What if it comes on Wednesday, I have a dinner for work and wont be home till late, i am going to have to come by around 5 and make sure it has not arrived. I just thought about it, my wife knows I am buying it eventually since she saw that i sold my boston sub BUT SHE DOES NOT KNOW THAT I ALREADY PLACED THE ORDER. WILL THE BOX FIT THROUGH A STANDARD SIZE FRONT DOOR? I THEN HAVE TO GET IT DOWN THE STAIRS TO THE BASEMENT. THEN MOVE IT AGAIN IN SEPTEMBER. I am gonna have to get my brother to come over to help. even though it already shipped out i cant check the tracking till probably tomorrow. wonder when it will be here. Ohio to Bosston hmmm.

I would say 3 day delivery or so. Maybe less. Depends upon the shipping company. I think they use BAX Global as they use liftgates on nearly all of their trucks.

It should fit through the door fine.

They are also packaged quite well. My PB-12 Ultra came strapped on it's own custom pallet. At 125 lbs. it was not easy to move around because of size. The weight was not so much of an issue for me. I did not have to go up or down stairs though. Have fun with that :D!

You can call the shipping company and co-ordinate such variables...

In fact, 1 of my subs arrived in the Milwaukee area, and they were showing it was going to sit there all weekend and they would bring it on monday, I called and arranged to pick it up before they closed on Saturday, brought a case of beer, which accidentally got left behind for the guys that helped me put it into my Tahoe.. ;)

If its BAX Global, those guys are usually pretty receptive to working with the customer...

PS. The box will easily go through any door, and you can put a beach towel under it and drag/slide it to anywhere you want, and sliding the un opened box down the stairs is a walk in the park... easy... I have done it myself with a Plus/2.

You'd be surprised the strength you can muster when your excited...

I carried mine in on my shoulder. :p

Ok, I didn't, but you know what I mean.

I can't wait to start my W7 build soon. I better be pumped up for that because it could weigh up to 175 lbs.

It is bax global that is shipping it. It says weighs 167 pounds!!! I better get in the gym these next couple of days come up with a plan on how to get this in my house. i wonder if they will help get it up 3 stairs so i can at least have it on my deck instead of the driveway.

167lbs. by itself is pretty light, but the problem is the bulkiness of the box. (it's just a 2 man job) i'd tip the delivery guy to help carry it into the house if I were you ... unless you have friends that can come over and help.
