Here we are, less than 24 hrs away. I'm really starting to get pumped. Who's having a party? What food are you having? Who is going to win?

We're having a couple people over. I'm making hot wings, Italian sausage with peppers and onions, pizza, Queso dip, and Cajun bacon wrapped shrimp. All homemade.

Any traditions? I used to have a huge party, but this year since it's my team I wanted to keep it low key. The only thing that is missing this year is my famous crawdads (superbowl tradition).

No one can top my Super Bowl parties.

Well, they're not mine, more my dad's.

About 25 people from my neighborhood come to our house. We set up seating in my garage and everyone who comes puts in 50bucks. We take the 50 bucks (some goes to food), go out and buy a big TV (this year a projector[not very good] with an 80" screen). At the end of the game, we raffle it off, pulling names from a hat until theres only one left. We have done this for a couple years, but this is the first time the TV was actually big. All the other years it was a 32inch tube TV. Another first for this year is 75bucks for 2 tries. This way, we can have a bigger pot, and get a better display.

The food we serve is Chili, hot dogs, Smokey's, burgers etc etc... party food.

We usually use my stereo for sound, but I don't want to put my Energy's out in the garage, so we are using some Pioneer HPM-100's.

I will put up some pics once it's all set up.

We're having a half dozen people over. Beer, wings, beer, pizza, bunch o' dips, beer.
Hopefully ABC will be kind enough to broadcast in and the local yokle station will support 5.1 sound. I'll be mildly disappointed if not.
Although I have little vested interest, I really think it will be a good game.

No party this year, I'm taking my daughter to her first Sacramento Kings basketball game. They are playing the Utah Jazz and the game starts at 12:30 local time. I live just two miles from ARCO arena so we'll be home in time for kickoff. Sheep, that sounds like a great idea and a lot of fun.

Small party with a few friends and family, will have the HT room going with my Panny AE700U, 106" screen and S/A 3250 HDSTB. Will bring the 42" Toshiba RPTV down from the bedroom with a S/A 8000 HDSTB for the family room. My only problem is my beta unit pre/pro went back to the lab for some updates and I do not have it back yet, so I will have to run my HT 7.2 Rocket system with an old Kenwood 5.1 DPL receiver(life could be worse).

Menu is Peel and Eat Shrimp with my famous cocktail sauce, you can not buy the pre-made stuff, Chips with Guacamole dip, cheese and crackers, my wife's delicious Chili and a warm baguette.

Drink's will be Ketel One, Johnnie Walker Black, Crown Royal Manhattan's, and Yuengling Lager(Go Steelers).

Pretty low key this year, my daughter and I will be skiing earlier in the day and my wife has to work, I have to run home and get everything ready within a couple of hours.

We're up to 32 people for tomorrow. The HT in the basement is finished so we will cram as many people in there as we can. Will also have a 32" direct view in the living room. There will be a small TV upstairs for the kids to watch DVDs. Food will be a mix of stuff provided by us and pot luck (cost of admission).

Steelers by 3 (a least thats what we put for the office pool)

Sorry guys, but I had Willie Parker in my fantasy league this year and it hacked me to no end how they would only put in Bettis on the goal line... His normal line would be 5 rushes for 7 yards and two TD's... Parker would be 23 rushes, 154 yards, no TD's....

It's one thing to have a veteran riding along with the team for his final glory (Robert Newhouse on the 76 Cowboys or Walter Payton on the 85 Bears), but Bettis has been acting all week like he is the only reason the Steelers won a single game, let alone got to the Super Bowl...

Five years ago, he could talk... Now, he's just an ego.

You haven't experienced a party till you partied with Colombians. We are going to my wife's uncle house today. There will be about 80-100 people. They will be watching the game on a 106" Front Projector system with an RBH T3 system that I installed.

Food will be:
Shredded pork - the whole pig
Shrimp
Steak
Avacado salad
Coconut rice
and pot luck, everyone is bringing a dish

I of course will spend most of my time eating and playing pool since football simply isn't my game and I have no love for the two teams playing.

Have fun :)

I hope Jerome falls on the first play of the game and . . . . . . oh wait, I already said that. I hope both teams play within the spirit of the game, and that they all get along and share a big hug at the end. I hope they sprinkle rose petals as Jerome enters the field. I hope the Steelers are down by five with one second left, and they are on their own 1 yard line, and they decide to hand it to Jerome and he runs for 99 yards and a touchdown, breaking 11 tackles in the process. Then I can say I saw the most wonderful story unfold right before my eyes.

Steelers by 1 in the most touching Superbowl ever. I'm getting all choked up just thinking about it.

I have to say that I wholeheartedly disagree, the veterans are the glue that is holding that team together and the way that Bettis has taken Big Ben under his wing is part of the reason that a 23 yr. old second year quarterback is not overwhelmed in the biggest game of his career. Now if Joey Porter could just shut his damn mouth, good linebacker, not much of a public speaker unless you consider mush mouth good public speaking. BTW, the following opinions on SuperBowl XL come from a diehard NY Giants fan, wish we would have drafted Ben instead of that other kid!
