Decent game. Although I'm an old Steelers fan (more of a college fan nowadays), it was pretty obvious the refs were in one corner. There were some questionable penalties - especially a few that could have turned that game around and put the momentum in the other direction. I absolutely hate when refs interfere with the game like that. Makes you wonder how much influence the NFL has on the refs.

In any event, I'm happy for Cowher and Jerome. It's nice to see them with the win - they've been waiting a long time for the trophy.

Questionable penalties would be an understatement. I truely cannot believe they can get away with calls like that. I sincerely believe Seattle got the Super Bowl win stolen from them by biased refs, and I am not the only one that feels that way. To top it off, the TV coverage of the game was so biased that I ended up listening to the AM radio instead. The "neutral" settings wasn't so neutral either. It was basically a home game for the Steelers.

Of course, the Seahawks made some mistakes that were completely out of character for them, but I still feel that the outregous penalty calls cost them the game.

I was really surprised by that Seahawks penalty as well... that was hardly a push off - especially in a championship game. If the defender had left his feet or fallen over, sure...

Here are some pics of the Superbowl party we threw...

Well we know who got that one right. ;) Looks like Mac and me were the closest on guessing the points.

While there were some questionable calls, it seems there are always some questionable calls, the Doves had plenty of chances to win the game and didn't deliver. It wasn't like it was a blowout or something. But give Cowher and his coaching staff credit. Calling the trick play after the interception was perfect timing, one of the better play calls in recent superbowl history.

Yeah, nice call Nostradamus. Glad I didn't wager on the birds.

Worst big game officiating I've seen.

The 'hawks had plenty of chances to win this game despite the "inconsistent" officiating. I like Jeramy Stevens -- he is very talented...
...but NEXT year if he decides to talk sh1t in the media he better back that @$%& up on the field and do what he's paid to do: catch the *@$#%^*@ ball.

Yes, I'm from Seattle.

I think the officiating was pretty consistent- the 'Hawks consistently got hosed! If I was a Steeler I'd seriously consider not accepting my ring. Really.

Thought I'd give credit to a few guys for the Seahawks that proved they are a step above the rest - Joe Jurevicius and Shaun Alexander. Those two are amazing players.
