You have really big space to fill and only real option is to get big subwoofer that is able to fill it. 10" Double Gem just is not for this task without talking about 8" 8.17 that would struggle even more in your given space. Dual subs will have more even output but it won't solve your problem of big space to fill, it will help to some degree but it wont be enough in your given space. In such big space your only option to achieve good output is to have big subwoofer that can do so. You could buy 2 smaller subs, yes, but will you get the output you are looking from your subwoofer?
