Speakers on their side?

I have a pair of old Cerwin-Vega AT-8's, (yes they're old, but they still sound great) however in my new place, I need to turn them on their sides.

Is there a specific way you are supposed to lay them? Do I tip them so both tweeters point towards the inside, or tip towards the outside so both tweeters are on the outside...Or does it not matter at all?

If you must do this, not recommended, it probably doesn't matter much but I would have the tweeters inside facing he center.

Thanks. I know it's not ideal. It's just a temporary thing until I upgrade (which will happen very soon)

Try both and decide which you like better.

I had my X-LS on their side for a while and its not too bad.

It actually depends a lot of the crossover, crossover point, and phase response. Stuff that affects dispersion.

That said, if a speaker was not designed with a wide vertical dispersion in mind, it would not work well on its side.

Temporarily, you can live with it no matter what
