Nice job!!

That bracing for the 15" kit looked a little crazy for me to tacke on my first DIY project. Man, you got the silver driver too!! Brian was out when I got mine.

I am finishing up a DS1500 kit in a day or so. I made my cabinet out of 1 inch mdf with 2 inch front and rear baffles. I will post pics soon. This is very encouraging to hear it is a great sub. Brian Ding is a real treat to deal with and he is as knowledgeable on subs as it gets !

I made a custom Grill that incorporates the Aluminum driver.

I made 2 off the cabinets and have 1 ready to make a second if needed. One is veneered in zebra wood and edge banded with tiger wood.

Please post pics I'm interested to see your veneer combo and the sub as a whole.

I thought I'd post an update. I finished the veneer on my sub a couple weeks ago. Now I need to redo the finish on the speakers. :)

I discovered that the wimpy seal provided with the driver did not hold and so I sealed it with silicon this time around. I also removed the exorbitant amount of polyfil I had stuffed into it and lined the walls with fiberglass insulation instead. Whether it was the seal, stuffing, or a combination of both, the sound has certainly improved and I could not be more happy with this sub.

By the way, I have no idea how to resize/thumbnail inline images. Any advice?

Good looking veneer. How is the LFE during "The Office"? j/k

In your opinion what is the hardest part about applying / staining veneer to a sub box?

I'm jealous, but not to the point of coveting...yet.
