I used REW to check the Freq Response. The miniDsp 2X4 HD was used to integrate 3 subs then EQ'd and a house curve was applied. No smoothing was applied on the first graph. On the 2 other graphs I applied 1/12th smoothing to see the graphs better.
Black is limiting EQ on all speakers with Max Correction Freq set at 500hz and subs Minimum Correction Freq at 50hz
Red is the ARC file with boost applied. All speakers Max Correction Freq set at the default 5Khz and sub at 15hz
Blue is the same ARC with boost but I limited the Max Correction Freq at 500hz but sub left at default at 15hz
As you can see from the graphs there's a big dip at around 41hz-72hz and huge peaks from about 72hz-144hz if ARC is left at the default settings where correction is allowed up to 5khz and sub correction down to 15hz. ARC seems to have altered the bass response I did in REW. In the black curve wherein I limited the correction in ARC on the subs only until 50hz that dip is gone and my house curve is back.
Which of the ff responses would you choose and any improvements suggested? Thanks...
