New TV is in. It buzzes like a motherf!@#&^, but whatever. It looks amazing, especially after I loaded up those settings sawz posted awhile back. I still need to update the firmware.

On another note, did anybody else have the delivery guys not only bring it into your house but set it up as well?
They just dropped at my front door , did not wait for me to inspect and never asked for a signature !

Dude, I am so sorry that yours also buzzes! I admit that there's a piece of me that's happy that someone else here knows that I'm not just some bat-eared crazy guy :D, but it sucks that you got one like that. I'll be interested in what you do about it.

The two delivery guys that brought it to my house were great. For one guy, it was his first day on the job, but I wouldn't have known if they hadn't talked that way. They got it unpacked, put the stand on it, and then set it up on my TV stand. They inspected the screen and got it plugged in to make sure it worked, too.

Well that's a bit disconcerting for such a high cost and damageable item.

You are definitely not some bat-eared crazy guy...unless we're both bat eared-crazy guys! It doesn't buzz worse than the other one so I know Samsung would say there's nothing wrong with it and that is "normal" behavior (clearly they've never run into a Panasonic or Pioneer plasma). Amazon likely his little stock if any for a replacement and even with a replacement there's always the old saying "Better the devil you know then the one you don't". I'll live with it for another week or so and since I'm off until Monday it should give a pretty good assessment of whether or not it's going to drive me insane. Although I am kinda looking at my Panny longingly right now

After hours of working on it, I posted my review yesterday for the water heater. The only other review up at the time seemed to be from someone that read the product page and manual and parroted some of it back (not saying that's what the person did, but I could have written that review without taking it out of the box). So, yeah, I could have saved a lot of time and effort just faking it...just not my style. Plus, it was kind of fun seeing the panel power up without flames erupting. :D

After an 11-day trek across country, I have some advanced wrinkle cream being delivered today.

Sorry for any disappointment, gents - but I'm going to use it on my face.

Have you tried using Strava to track your miles? I recently moved to Colorado to hope do more trail / mtn bike riding / roads rides. It come to conclusion I was more active back in Austin riding the trails / roads. I only put about 440 miles on the trails and about 530 miles on the road here in CO. I doubled that when living in Austin. Figures!!

Some poser pics:

Beautiful single track. My riding buddy just moved to CO. I have ridden there several times and love it but I would be a Snowboard Hoe if I lived there. We have free access to a cabin in NM at Ski Apache so we like to ride there. Heck, we have free access to a cabin in Breckenridge too...it makes me wonder why I just paid for a trip to Lake Tahoe??????

I have to admit I was thinking it, I want to say this is the ninth :p item you complained about buzzing and making standby noises... Now either you are paying fuzz to verify your story or they have an issue...

Which is why I'm so glad that Fuzz can hear it. :D Well, again, not glad at all that he got one like I did - but a little glad that I'm not going to sound like I'm complaining about nothing...again.

So I just got the amp for the PB-1000. I opened it up and this green sticky glue is hard to get off on the snap offs. Anyone know a rememdy to get this glue off? I really don't want to ruin anything, so I'm extra careful. No customer service till Jan 2. I should have just sent the whole thing back. HELP!

Thinking about going to Best Buy tonight. Apparently there's a deal going on where if you recycle your old Harmony remote with Best Buy they'll give you up to $100 off a new Logitech Ultimate remote.

Heck yea!! If you have access to cabins what's the need to pay for lake tahoe. However I have a friend that lives here and visits tahoe at least once a year. Pictures there are stunning. I never snowboard yet . I guess my job keeps me very busy right now

It's been mildly pouring all afternoon (which Niki doesn't like to go outside in), and she won't even consider going out after she hears a firework - so when it got quiet outside a little bit ago, I took the opportunity to take her out.

Well, it got quiet because...it's snowing. :) It's only supposed to get colder tonight, and it's already sticking - so tomorrow morning might be an unusual sight around here.

Happy New Year, everyone!

I am not sure what tabs and green glue you are talking about but I have changed 3 amps on SVS subs(upgraded amps when the Sledge came out on 2 and one dud) and I don't remember green glue or tabs. Goo-gone is my go to product when I need to remove stuff.

Tahoe is beautiful plus you have casinos so it's just fun.
