a bus.....
So, you get to school for free now, but you want to pay money for a bike, and insurance?
The same money that (two years from now) you'll wish you saved toward a car.:D
Edit: If you lived in a warmer climate, where you'd have a longer riding season, I'd think a bike was a great idea.

When I was in high school, I thought that it would be cool to have a car and drive to school - but I couldn't afford it, so I took the bus. When I could buy a car, my parents wouldn't let me. If I did have the money and my parents let me, would my life have been different in high school? Probably not. I'm inherently uncool, though. :) However, I knew people that exuded cool that sure as s**t couldn't afford cars like the other "cool" kids, and not having a bike or car didn't seem to impact them much. Material possessions can open the door to the club for you, but they won't keep you in there.

I was thinking from a practical standpoint, which I understand is 180 out of sync with how someone in HS would think.:D
At some point he'll get a job and a girlfriend, and will really need a car.
I wouldn't want my daughter riding on a 17 or 18 year old's bike.

I guess I've learned something new today....Canada isn't cold, and the name, "Great White North" is simply a misnomer.:D

I'm afraid that true coolness comes from the inside...just like Adam's incredible sense of fashion.
Just sayin

oh no its freezing in the Canada part of Canada but windsor is pretty much the miami of canada.... except its all jobless people and factory workers everywhere, our skyline is just a casino and if you stay in the lake long enough you might mutate...

Riding bikes here is the opposite. It's so freaking hot in the summer time that it's got to be brutal riding a bike. Parking for any length of time requires a cover, too, or else you'd fuse to the seat.

This graph shows further back in time. So 2008 wasn't necessarily atypical - it was just that it didn't turn over as quickly.
