Problems With Liberal Democracy

Seriously, I have no life.
I've never heard anyone on the right say he is. Rarely. Rather a large chunk of them embraced his a$$holery, but they cannot say it out loud obviously.
It's not common in the ones who are in the news, making public speeches, etc- you need to pick up a lot of rocks and lift the rugs to find someone who's willing to say this. The ones who won't are afriad to be kicked out of their club. Imagine having to live with that fear.........then, coming to the realization years later.

I think you're referring to the politicians. People who have something to lose if they speak out. I was talking about Republican voters. People who have nothing to lose. However, the quiet truth is they loved he behaved like an a$$hole.

Politicians are included, but everyone else, too. What the hell do you mean, by "People who have nothing to lose"? We have EVERYTHING to lose and it's politicians who cause it. If voters don't start saying this more frequently, it will just continue and people need to stop being lazy about their voting choices.

Being an a$$hole isn't always a problem but it is when the a$$hole doesn't know when to be that and when they should stop. Trumpo doesn't know and his 'yes-people' are too busy putting on their brown lipstick to do anything about it.

Putin , Xi, Kim, Khamenei and others are worse and rather than focusing 100% on the a$$hole in office and getting into squabbles in online forums, which will change nothing,

Consumers of conservative news have been drawn to rage as far back as I can remember. The tabloidy shock jocks of Rush, O'Reilly, Hannity etc. Trump was but a natural errr progression of that and not a coincidence. (Well an anomaly in terms of any other president behaving like that, but not a coincidence per a reflection of what animates Republican voters). He was a sensation especially in his first term in regard to behavior and tone.

No, what I was getting at is Republican voters don't have anything to lose in the sense of speaking out on Trump's a$$hole behavior online. Ah so I'd assume quite a few loved that about him. The politicians are not going to because Trump might come after them. That's what I was getting at.

I worked with a guy in the early-'90s who looked like anything but a Conservative- long blond hair, had been in hard rock bands, had some bad attitudes, drank a lot and seemed to be addicted to gambling. But he was a good bowler, so he got points for that. :)

Every freaking day, he put Limbaugh on and I hated it. The sound of his voice, the crap he spewed, his conceit...... I asked a friend if he listened to Rush and his answer- "Only when I'm on a long road trip- it's hard to fall asleep when your eyeballs are bouncing off of the windshield".

I can't listen to any of them and we have/had some local/regional talk radio hosts who would just parrot Limbaugh. Someone said that I should check them out and I did, for about a week. First on was Limbaugh, then Charlie Sykes, then another guy, then Vicki McKenna, from Madison. They ALL repeated the same stuff. They made some good points, but the rest was yammering with annoying voices. I would listen to a few minutes and switch to music after becoming annoyed. I don't know how anyone can listen to that crap for years and not have their head explode.

Of the bunch, Charlie Sykes is the only one who changed his views and he's now a contributor to MSNBC. He was a staunch Conservative as far back as high school and would engage in loud shouting matches with one of his Social Studies/Civics teachers- I was in a history class down the hall and our teacher would close the door when Charlie and the teacher would launch their arguments. I was surprised when he left the radio station- IIRC, that was while Trump was campaigning the first time and Charlie couldn't take it anymore.

I don't really care if you're a conservative or not, but their media is poop. Levine was the king of screaming. I'd never experienced that degree of non-stop LOL. There was a guy on late Sunday who did the same thing. Can't remember much about it though. Been 10-15 years. I think he was out of the SF area.

Rush probably had some good ideas I dunno. Never could get through more than five minutes cause his ego was so big and self-promotion of how great he is. Prager had some good stuff and wasn't really a part of the hate so many seem to push. But that was before PragerU and discovering who was financing his show. Still he had some good stuff on life and common sense. Didn't care for his religion and in the end believe he's a Christian Nationalist.
