I will be going with in ceiling. Also wondering can the Canton speakers be use with banana clips?
In-ceiling is the best choice for Atmos.

Those Canton's have typical binding posts, so they should accept Banana plugs and spades.

Thank you, I think I will be going for this set up.
That subwoofer is a very nice step up from the Dayton. I really like Canton as well. I think you're making some good choices for a noob!

Thank you. I was on a tight budget, because I was needing to buy a tv too. But, I think is best if I just go with this sound system and upgrade my tv later on.

The banana connectors work great on my Canton bookshelves.

I am looking into buying a 5.1 sound system but I need advice on what to get. I see right now on amazon that the klipsch 5.1 theater pack is going for $480.00 plus another $400 for a pioneer vsx-lx303 or should I get 2 pair of sony sscs5 for $118/pair, a sony sscs8 for $118, a polk psw10 10” subwoofer for $99 and a pioneer vsx-lx303. I want a 9.2 channel receiver, because Im thinking Showbox jiofi.local.html tplinklogin of upgrading to a 5.2.4 system later on. (I got the sony and polk idea from Audioholics “$1500 5.2.4 theater system”. Im going with pioneer receiver because onkyo tx-nr797 is now $680).
Please let me know what you think would be the better purchase. I am open to suggestions to any other systems that is about $1000.
Thank You.
Personally I'd start with a good 2.1 system rather than 5.1 with a limited budget like you have and add as I can save up or find good used deals. I could never recommend a Polk sub, tho.
