Only in Philly- Guy shoots talker at movies

Why does my mindset scare you? I said I don't approve of what the guy did, I can just understand why he did it, that's all. I never ever approve of anyone getting shot, but my point was, that why does it take such extreme measures to get a basic consideration point across.

People need to understand that this world is full of nutjobs and if your being loud and obnoxious in a theater of all places and someone tells you to be quiet, the normal thing would be to shut the he!! up. But it was obvious the family continued to be rude and continue to talk (this may have been to tease the guy) and then when he goes off, somebody gets shot and somebody goes to jail. Stupid yes, but people need to have manners and I don't see how having a mindset like this is a problem,

How about this situation for you- let's say we were neighbors and you had a party until 2 am playing loud music and keeping me up. Is it ok for me to come over and shoot up your party? How about if I blew up your house with dynamite? How many times do I need to call and ask you to turn down the music before you "understand" that I attempted to kill you?

aberkowitz, if you were my neighnor, i would first invite you to the party and ask you to please contact me if it got too loud (especially after 10pm) and if you did call me I would apologize and promptly turn down the music. I feel that's what being a good neighbor is all about.

So how was the movie? I mean, is it worth renting? Since I upgraded my display and got a second sub I really haven't been to the movies. This thread pretty much makes that trend standing policy. As far as I'm concerned this is a happy story. The talker got his in front of his whole family. I hope he $h!t his pants. The gun toting maniac is gonna get serious time for this little indiscretion. The world is a better place now.
