Onkyo TX-SR804 PRE-OUT Question

Hi I have an Onkyo TX-SR804. I plan on using the internal amplifiers to power my speakers. The question is I would like to use a R-DES EQ that came with my speakers. I would like to connect it to the pre-out. Will the amp still work if a cable is in the pre-out? Read the owners manual, didn't say. I will email Onkyo, but I know this BB is much faster.

The unit is for bass equalization. It should be wired in between your receiver and the subwoofer(s). Receiver sub pre-out to EQ to subwoofers.

Yes, the receiver's amps work in conjunction/simultaneously with the pre-outs.
