Do you know where I can find an AMP like this one?

I'd think of it more as your gear is fine now for anything you'll stream from those sources, the streamer is more a matter of connectivity/convenience.
Thanks anyway. I guess no one knows of a dedicated digital streamer/music player with a feature that allows the user to interface on the smart TV screen by using the streamer/player remote.

Once again, I appreciate EVERYONE'S advice from this these threads. Cheers.

Correct. Of those I only use YouTube and it actually sounds very good. I think that is because their codec is so good.

Well, if money is no object... this thing can connect to a TV and output 4K @60Hz. Get a nice amp and a nice pair of speakers and you are good to go. You could also connect it to your Onkyo and use it with both systems. If you decide to go that route, get two of them and send me one ;)

I really don't understand why anyone would buy a streamer. You absolutely don't need, them let alone spend that much on one.

You can stream anything out there from this pretty much and in high quality.

This is what you need for a lot less money. Just add a radio keyboard for $25.00.

It even contains its own power supply and comes loaded with Windows 12.

It is as good, or better then any streamer out there. You can grab any stream you want, and many no streamer will grab. HDMI connectivity to AVR, AVP or TV. It will connect to anything with an HDMI or USB input. Its quality will match any streamer and likely exceed it for a lot of streams.

I have never owned a streamer and NEVER would. I just see them as a restrictive nuisance. Now, tell me why I'm wrong.

Not only streaming, but you could use Foobar/Kodi/Whatever on this as a first class file player.
I intend to go this route if my Vero4K+ I use for audio dies before I do !

I don't see that offers me anything I can't do already and have done for years.

Some hate audio and/or video streamers and think a Mac/PC is the way to go. But, some want all the bells and whistles concerning certain service apps and they may not be available using a browser or app in a Mac/PC. Support for services is all over the place out there in various devices.

Oh, @TLS Guy, you do own a streamer. It is inside your LG TV and runs webOS. You have to use it to get Dolby Atmos from the Digital Concert Hall app because it is not supported on your Windows PC. I use my Mac to play my music most times. I have to turn to other devices to get certain audio and video support from different services.

Maybe not you, but ways to play audio files via your standard media boxes are extremely limited.
I'm talking about people like me who haven't touched a cd player for 10 years or a turntable since 1985. ;)

My Dune plays any audio file perfectly, but the selection of player apps is about zero.
You have to use the Dune player which is very basic.
It does play any music or video ISO/SACD though.

My Vero only does Kodi, which is fine for flac files but it cant usually play ISO/SACD files.
Kodi is a love it or hate it program.
I like it for flac files, but hate it for video.
It does do Atmos from file though like my Dune.

A PC like you showed can use JRiver, Foobar,Kodi or whatever.....many many choices, a file users dream actually.

That is correct, but that is the only App I use on the TV. It does have very good quality. I was referring to a discrete streamer.

Some cannot get the audio/video support they want from a given app on a Smart TV or Mac/PC and many do not have a Mac/PC with internal or external storage loaded with files connected to an AVP/AVR in their living room. So, many will look to streaming devices that support the best features of their favorite services.

Thanks again.
I was hoping to avoid casting from a smart phone to TV. I never liked it. I actually enjoy the interface ROKU/Chromecast provides when streaming SiriusXM/Spotify/Deezer/YouTube. After getting some advice from this forum, I was informed that the ROKU/Chromecast stream a lower quality digital audio signal. So I kept searching for something other than a ROKU, because I tought a dedicated music streamer/player sent a higher quality audio signal. I still wished the new streamer/player to provide an on TV screen interface for the user.

Anyway, I guess no one knows of a dedicated digital streamer/music player with a feature that allows the user to interface on the smart TV screen by using the streamer/player remote.
Oh well.....

I thought the comment about level of streaming from the Roku was about the subscription level you had with the various streaming services not being their top tier. Don't remember what about the Roku otherwise would be insufficient.

Not sure why the suggested Nvidia player couldn't use your tv screen....maybe I missed that, too.

The Nvidia Shield meets 99% of your requirements if you don't wanna use an app for control.

I'm still not sure your clear about your goals based on what the market supplies. I used a WDTV streaming device until they didn't support ATMOS and DTSX, but have learned to live with the apps for new devices. Audio isn't as big of a deal vs video for me, which I need an OSD for my video library.
