The Dead Weather "Whorehouse"
skizzerflake Audioholic Field Marshall Nov 30, 2009 #1,282 Tonight, it's Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds in "Dig!!! Lazarus Dig!!!" (exclamations from the album, not me). This is highly recommended if you're in the mood for eccentricity. Sometimes he reminds me of Tom Waits, sometimes Jim Morrison and then he could be some unknown rapping beatnik poet from 1950's San Francisco, with a little Velvet Underground thrown in for good measure. I really like this CD.

Its sad that she got breast cancer, but she is a fighter, and has pulled through, and is a big advocate for the disease!

3db Audioholic Slumlord Dec 2, 2009 #1,288 Cowboy Junkies "Trinity Sessions" on CD I've got three of their albums and I must say that all three are top rate in terms of reproduction. My hats of to the recording engineers involved in these. They knew what they were doing.

Thanks a lot! I just ordered a copy. Another saucy aussie, is natalie imbruglia. I know her torn single got played to death, in the late 90's, but her subsequent stuff wasn't bad either. i especially like the white lillies island album. Its a more "grown-up" effort! give it a listen, and let me know what you think.

C caupina Full Audioholic Dec 5, 2009 #1,293 Cafe del Mar Vol 10. Wayne Wallace "The Nature of the Beat" Naoki Kenji "Lost" from the CD "Less Ordinary". I listened to one of his song called "Endless" from the "Fresh Chillout 2006" CD, I looked him up and became instantly hooked, so I ordered 2 of his CDs, "Less Ordinary" and "Versatile". There's another one "Denshi Ongaku" that's a bit hard to find at a decent price...if anybody knows where I can find it, please let me know.

skizzerflake Audioholic Field Marshall Dec 6, 2009 #1,294 Tom Waits' Mule Variations. It's a loose collection (like all of Waits' albums) of beautiful strangeness. This guy is (IMO) one of the closest approachers to true genius in the current music world.

Oh, and by the way, it's a real nicely recorded "DualDisc". Last edited: Dec 9, 2009
