No sound with Netflx

You already seem to have connected some Optical cable to the TV port of digital audio in. Hope its not interfering with ARC.

Shouldn't be an issue to have multiple connections for a given input, but may need to go into assignment menu to select one vs the other...

Okay, I see what happened. I thought you were the author of this thread. We're gonna need to know what all you have for gear, speakers, sources, etc to help troubleshoot.

Off the top of my head, do you have a center channel?

Seriously, I have no life.
Also turn off CEC on TV and receiver. That often does the trick. You don't want to be switching cables all the time. That is a sure recipe for creating major damage.

It really tends to be a headache to get program back from a TV.

Organize yourself so everything goes into the receiver and one HDMI out from the receiver to the TV. That is how it is supposed to work. You can't go wrong by imagining ARC never existed. It is not a good reliable connection.

You can by a Cromecast device for little money. Plug that into your receiver and chromecast from a mobile device.
