Looks like Russ might get the start at QB for the Steelers this week. Not sure if that is a good thing seeing as they are 4 - 2.

ESPN gives Motown 57% on the match-up predictor over the Vikes. Not so sure about that! It's here in the Twin Towns, Detroit's best defensive player is out for the year and A-a-ron Jones practiced this week, so that would tend to mean he's playing. That's alright. I'd rather be underestimated and shock the world when the Kitties go down!

I gotta go with the Vikes D on this one.

Vikes/Det
Texans/GB
Chiefs/9ers

Games of the week.

Ravens/TB might be also.

On the local pre-game show the great Paul Allen is using every Mowtown song title cliche's to describe the game and potential outcome. Super funny.

Trump will be at the Steelers Jets game tonight. Sad but I'll still watch. How does this guy still have any supporters?

Pats and Vikes both started with 10-0 leads. The Pats caved and the Vikes lost a heartbreaker. It was too nice a day to stay inside anyways.

Sorry but just don't really care for it. Even genius in a way. Conservative play calling with genius scheme. Chiefs are the last undefeated team, but Mahomes statistically after six games: 6 TD's, 8 INT's. Lots of flexibility as a team. He did make a handful of quality plays to keep drives going and whatnot, but when I watch highlights of other QB's throwing downfield, I just don't really care for it. Mahomes' downfield throwing is kinda blah to me. Going back to last year as one of the worst deep throwers. I feel like it comes back down to making the QB's life as simple as possible, and frankly it works here with strong D and a good running game. But viewing in the traditional downfield throwing sense it's rather lacking to me.

Also that handoff to the receiver running behind Mahomes. Getting tired of that. Sure was effective though. Got em 20 yds. But don't like it from a qb position.

Yesterday the Washington Commanders easily beat the Carolina Panthers, 40-7. But Jayden Daniels, the QB was injured as he broke a long run.

Ask anyone who followed the former Washington QB Robert Griffin III. Similar to Daniels, he was small & fast. Unlike Daniels, his passing was so so, and his ability to read pro defenses was poor. At first Griffin pulled off amazing runs. After about 6-7 games the NFL defenses knew enough to neutralize him. By the end of that season he was so injured that his career was cut short.

As soon as Washington fans saw the similarities between Daniels and Griffin, they feared an injury could easily end his career too.

Daniels was injured in the rib cage, but apparently no cracked ribs were seen by X-ray. Today he will probably have a CT scan to better understand his injury. The coaches must convince him to avoid running the ball. Pro defenses are faster than anything he saw in college football, even in the SEC.
