Bring your mountain bike --there is a great forrest road after you follow a trail I buskwacked (actually, canopy forest so it was mainly marking) 2/3-1 miles from back of property to forest road.

Now is not a good time though unless you wear hunter's orange cap and vest and even with that your life is not guaranteed.

Quiet and serene ; hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing , walking ,rocking.

Later,

Forest Man

P..S. - Promise better an more pictures in a week or so.
can i bring the canoe up? We can take turns tipping each over in it. Anyway The cabin is coming right along.

progress

They poured the driveway and air conditioner pad.

The area for the bulkhead is covered ( because of the slope they had to bring in a lot of dirt; right side elvated about 10 feet, washing away)

Countertops are in and the frame for the marble fireplace is built.

They were laying tile ( decided on all upgraded level II tile with no carpet anywhere) so I couldn't really get in the house to take pictures-- SORRY

Grinder pump still hasn't been installed. On order 1 1/2 months now.

As one person's suggestion - bought a Shindaiwacommercial steel shaft brushtrimmer/weedeater with a 9' wood blade and will clear out the small trees in the forest.

Also plan to dam up my gully just enough to have a nice pond. ;)

Sorry no pictures, couldn't really go into the house because they were laying the tile and hadn't grouted it yet.

Less than a month away :)

The are making good progress ;)

They have started working on the bulkhead. It will be "L" and go along the side and wraparound the back porch corner. You can see from the picture there is about 8-10 foot elevation. The black plastic covers what they have started working on.

The back porch with railing ( not painted yet) -Winter View

The Den is taking shape. Fireplace fluting still needs to be painted.

The Kitchen - eveything but the appliances. It was a dark day and the flash falsely lightened the blue color ( soory my camera skills are only so-so)

Anyway, they are still telling me rigth before Christmas, but I think week after or first week in January.

Peace and Serenity,

Forest Man

grout haze -> grout that is not completely removed from the face of the tile after grouting.

I cant see any issues, it looks like they did a nice job in the picture.

The place looks great. I like that you're installing the brass outlet now, excellent decision.

It's actually an inside joke from another thread. I can't remember it, but I seem to recall Alex being quite proud of it. :D

I am so happy, I am so happy

It is all coming together -- they are telling me they want to book it this year and will finish and close before Christmas - Woop Pee

And this picture, I was a little disappointed. Now they are going to redo the hearth with the same white marble on the insert instead of the brown tile the same as the floor.

Alex -- the brass plug isn't installed yet --this is stillthesame picture :)

Peace,

Forest Man

are you going to put a pooper right in front of the fireplace? That'd be awesome. You could probably get some awards for that.
