"do not go behind you"

Whaaat?! Seriously?! I've always thought that they were supposed to be behind you!

They're suppose to be 90-110 beside you. Technically that can be a little behind you but in your case even if you can get them beside you, you wouldn't want to jam them right in the corner. I have mine about 2 feet above the listening position and pointed down and forward to intersect about a foot in front of my face. I guess they are at about 90 degrees and about a foot from the corner.

I'd read this right after I figured that out. It's too bad I can't really revise right now, not enough room, and the disances would be goofy, since the wall on the right side of my bed (if your facing the back of the room) is closer than the wall on the left with the windows.

Like I said, They are "guidelines". We all do what we can and, nobody's room is perfect.

Keep the surrounds spread as far apart as your headboard will allow and then angle them in so that the on axis intersection is right in front of your head. Then recalibrate and see if you like it.
