Purpose: Movies only.

Depends on your room. In tiny rooms, m-10 should be enough. in very large rooms m-12 would NOT be enough.

But the 12 will go a little deeper and has better distortion performance.

I would say it is worth it. The M-12 has a major mid-bass advantage over the M-10.

Yeah I’d say get the 12 unless op doesn’t listen loud . Regardless 12 is winner.
How loud do you listen & room dimensions,???

I use about 90% of the Sony STRDH590 volume, room dimensions are about 9.8 by 13 feet

What sub are you using now? That’s a Small room either sub will be fine but the 12 goes a little lower . I use two weak 10” in one set up and a 15” diy sub in another . So either of the monos get pretty loud and on par with my 15 for sound quality. Really just depends what you want more spl or less . I don’t listen that loud actually so I’d be fine with either .

I currently got no sub, just two Encore T6s
