So what do German Maestro speakers go for in the US? I do a search on their website and get "0 retailers nearby. Call this consulting firm" which is really weird.

They need to double check the website and/or inventory

I can still place the bookshelves in the cart.

Someone at AVS also place an order for bookshelves

It would be nice if they can confirm all this.

Blame it on rojo!:)
Yeah, they really have to do a better job of updating their website.
She said that she had to cancel a few orders. Its kinda messy since Shopatron deals with the money and Maxxsonocs do the shipping. They are not very coordinated.

I dont if you can even buy the home speakers here. There is a dealer 10 miles from my house but they only carry their headphones.

Well, that's to bad as I won't be getting them now. I wasn't ready to order them until some things panned out first anyways, maybe someone will sale them down the road and I can get them a little cheaper.

They are mainly headphones in the US

The German Maestro speakers, are mainly redesigned mid-level Alexxa speakers.

There is still some good Alexxa deals at Maxxsonics

Well, I ordered a pair of 05's Sunday night in Elsberry. Should have ordered the full 5 piece set as the center was sold out on Monday afternoon. Then, I thought about returning the Elsberry's (eating the shipping costs) and ordering the full Maple set. Well...not anymore. On to plan "C".

This was another example of why I don't always believe "if it's sounds too good to be true...". If the 05's beat out anything I've owned in the past, or have on hand right now, I'll really be kicking myself. I seem to find something to fault with just about everything but I've never really listened to a speaker that's this good.

Thanks for all your input Zieglj01, and all the other posters.

Mr. Zieglj01...you listed the speakers you thought weren't quite as good as the 05's. Anything you've had/heard that you think might be better?

Are you trying to say that the speaker is good?

I have not listened to, or owned anything that is as transparent or revealing as the Vera 05. There is
always something out there, to knock another speaker off. > There is no one special speaker that is
for everyone.

While there is no perfect speaker - this one is really good. I am a nit-picker, and while they are not perfect,
I find no distracting or offensive faults to my ears.

I am a former owner of the Fostgate Audionics FA61.0 speakers - so I knew going in, that the MB Quart did
have potential to be really nice/good

What I meant was I really don't have any experience with bookshelf speakers in the $1000+ range. The best speaker I've heard so far was the Swan M1 which I listened to at a CL seller a couple of years ago while buying a receiver. Only got to hear them for about 10 minutes but I immediately knew I was listening to a much better speaker then I was acustomed to.

I wonder how many pairs/centers they've sold (guess we'll never know) and how long it will take for any of them to start hitting the used market (we'll have to wait and see).

Anyway, I'm looking forward to listening to the 05's. Still waiting for a tracking number.

I got my tracking number this afternoon, but they don't have the delivery date listed yet. I'm moving next week, so it's possible that they will go straight from the UPS truck into the moving truck and I won't be able to hear them (or any of my other speakers) for about 3 months while I look for a new place

There are a lot of people who read the forums, and will never join - however, they
do find/read deals like this, and then they jump on them. They went fast.
Yeah, sure blame it on other people. You know very well that this was all your fault ziegl!!! :D

They sound good - and can handle your type and all types of music.
52 lbs for a speaker pair - for a little over a dollar a pound, is good.:)
(that is with shipping included)
