We may not need to resort to this - the speakers finally showed up. Yay!
Of course, I still need to wait for 2-3 months before I see or hear them, but the reviews will help bide the time. So, keep 'em coming folks!
That is good news > the merry-go-round has stopped.

Take care of them

3 month yikes. Nogaro ship them to me. :) I promise to give them back.
It's too late now, the moving truck left a couple hours back.
Perhaps, you can check out the Alexxa's. I'm sure they're almost as good as the Vera's.

I could never wait three months either. Couldn't even wait 30 minutes. I opened one of mine in the parking lot at UPS. And I was in Oakland!

That is the big question and I'm itching to know but reluctant to pull the trigger to find out myself.

I found a mini review of the Vera sub

Well, I got the MB Quart after all and have been testing it out for the last couple of weeks. After having two SVS ISD driver-based subs, I can say the MB Quart is a far more musical, very tight sounding, easy to integrate subwoofer, almost like picking up a REL subwoofer for a much lower cost. It won't shake the foundations of a house, but its bass is much more controlled, and it still has plenty of impact for movies. Sound effects are much better defined and seem to hit more sharply. SVS does the impressive house shaking, room pressurizing thing very well though.

The design of the MB Quart is one downfiring active driver, with two passive drivers angled at 45 degrees to the front. Shipping weight was 135 lbs, so actual weight on the unit is a little over 100 lbs. The cabinet surround is real joined wood, very solid high-end construction throughout with an XLR input and remote volume control to boot. I've paired the subwoofer with a pair of LSi9's now with extremely good results, so good that I decided to remove a pair of SDA-1Cs from the front of my theater system. The MB Quart is a keeper.

You can try them - if and/or when you may find something better, you can always
use them as a nice pair of surrounds.

I have 7.1 in main viewing room & 5.1 in bedroom, I don't really need extra speakers hanging around as the wife is already bothered with all of the extra speakers we have. I have 3 set of speakers in boxes or just around not being used that I need to get rid of.

Even though I complain about it, if not for the wife, I'd probably end up on the Hoarders show with all my speakers! I'm glad there's someone to keep in check during my weak moments :) I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the Veras. I might need those 3 months just for that!

Nogaro...are you staying local or movin' on out? I'm just up the road in Hayward.
Moving to Seattle, maybe back in a couple years - depends on how long I can handle the spray-on tan. J/k about the tan.

Yes, I know about them - however remember, the Vera has a 3 inch voice coil
and can handle some good power.
