Hmmm ... I see you're a real ladies man. Your charm knows no bounds.

Speaking of Doug, would you just take a look at this hole?

We're still waiting for a status report on the hole. Not the wall, Doug.

Are those Aragon Amplifier heatsink fins? Is someone wiring up the Aragon to utilize all 7 channels?

So, what's up with the hole? Has it been patched, filled? Maybe a place to hide more amps from the GF?

Alex,

I read this whole thread last night. You should be proud of yourself. This is amazing. As the urban youth say, "You got skills, yo!" Yeah, I know. I just embarrassed myself.

Anyway, great job!

I actually did wire up all 7 channels on that thing. Why not, right?

I was going to put one of those binding post wall plates there but opted to have my speaker wire come out the cabinet on the side so the hole is being patched.

Thanks. It took long enough. Today I finally amped up and balanced my speakers. I got the DVD-A thing happening too. I guess in some stroke of genius I decided that analog connections to that player weren't required but I got that corrected too. Sonically, ManTown is ready.

I got my wire management issues pretty much sorted out in the EC as well. Well, I had to get out of that wall with some extra wiring that goes up to the TV but doesn't hook up to anything in the cabinet. It seemed wrong to bury it but having it run itself out in the EC without being an eyesore wasn't exactly easy.

Now it's nothing a little mud and paint won't be able to hide. My trim solution is in place as well. The main thing is that both systems are up and running with some level of calibration.

I don't understand...

But, when Googling to see if there was some reference, I discovered that he's going to be in Tucson later this month. Woohoo! Highway to the Old Folks Home.

Had a visit to Man Town this weekend.
I can say first hand, that, both Man Town and the built-in wall unit look better in person than it does in the pictures.
Both of Alex's set-ups sound great. You've really got the perfect system there.
We also had a great time at the seafood restaurant, and the next day with your guided tour of Boston.
Still can't believe how fast the time went.
