Sorry to hear James, just remember that there is always opportunity in chaos.
I'm relieved to hear you have some cushion. Perhaps if you can, it's time to throw yourself full force into your true passion. You're a smart guy with a good head on your shoulders... that I know. There's always a need and room for a good people. Take care.I appreciate all the comments. I was a software engineer, but I've got a lot of different avenues so I'm praying and working hard to get things rolling. I've already got some references. My goal has been to be a pastor and that's why I started going to seminary. Software is a nice job, but it's just not me. I'm prefer a more people oriented task. Will see what happens, but my wife does make decent money as a teacher so we should be better off than most folks. We'd been saving for a down payment on a house so it's nice to have that cash to help us while we slim down.

I signed up for that, and got calls every single day to my cell phone about "education opportunities" and it was annoying, they'd call once at 3am, then again at 10am, then again at 2pm, it was like clockwork. I could time my day off it.Sign up on this site: http://www.net-temps.com/
It isn't a temp agency thing, it is a lot of resources to help you find a job, and there's a TON of good stuff on there. They send out a regular email that has excellent job hunting advice about interviews, cover letters, resumes, everything really. I don't go to the site, I just read the emails (still) and though I know quite a bit of this stuff, I learned a lot from them as well.
