AND

drive that component video output as Zone 2 while the HDMI output is driven as Zone 1 simultaneously?!?!?!

I hooked up my projector just to check that out. Forgot

I should be able to switch between the component video and HDMI input on my projector and see what it does.

That seems to be a very popular past time around here.

So ... when is the XMC suppose to be out? Not that I'm even close to understanding what all the UMC does but what is the XMC suppose to have over it and at what cost? I suppose I could do my own homework but ... this is so much easier.

It seems some people cannot get the component output to work when something is plugged into the hdmi output. Even when the hdmi output is shut off the component out will not work unless the cable is pulled from the hdmi out. Sometimes I need to use component and sometimes hdmi, but not at the same time. I know the better receivers have no problem doing this. Might be another firmware problem. I've had no luck getting an answer from support. Just curious if you are able to get it working.

I was asked by a few people about the OSD and the small popup OSD. They wanted to know if they could be dimmed or turned off.

Here's where you can turn off the small popup OSD:

I guess that would be a NEGATIVE.
Zone 2 lets you choose between the analog audio outputs only.

It also seems that the component and HDMI out puts dont both run rogether. So I guess you'd have to bypass the component video around the UMC straight to Zone 2's display.

Looks like you'll need to wait for the XMC-1

So component and hdmi don't run together. But can you get the component out to work on your unit at all? If you connected something to the component outs and selected that input will it work? I was told by support I could have an xbox connected to the component input and have the component output connected to my tv. I could also have a ps3 connected hdmi input and hdmi output to my projector and I would be able to select one or the other but not both at the same time obviously. Unfortunately noone can seem to get any component output unless the hdmi out cable is pulled out. Just wondering if your's works?

My gripes:

1) Cannot DUAL Output HDMI + Component Video.
2) Reads "DTS MASTER" instead of "DTS HD MA". Gotta have that "HD".

I'll just stick to my Denon 5308 for now and probably get the 5810 or 5812 when they come out.
