In the frequency response graphs they have on the site, I would like to know what the "speaker that sells for between $29,995 and $34,000 depending on finish" is. it has a FR of +/- 5dB eek: ), whereas their HR-1 is almost flat (+/- what looks to be 1dB or less), so it would seem to be more of a studio monitor than a "audiophile loudspeaker" - that is, IF those graphs aren’t total garbage.

Studio monitors are supposed to produce close to flat frequency responce, where as many home audio speakers have more uneven responce.

Strange...the Dayton Titantic MkIII has 20.5mm, and the HiVi SP10 has 15.5 and that is a 10" woofer.

I guess they were, but it still sounds stupid. It seemed to me that they were trying to imply the 8" woofer on the side of that crap speaker would destroy 18" woofers. I really wish they had a forum at that site, I would join it just like I joined the Cadence Forum.

I believe that HiVi SP10 is a copy or is the original Sunfire True subwoofer driver. I used to have a Sunfire True sub (sucked) and I had taken it apart for some reason or other and the woofer inside of it looks just like that one. The magnet structure is most impressive.

It is strange the Titanic would have more excursion, because I have seen the travel on those Sunfire True subs, it is incredible.

Well my point was that they were saying that "18 inch subs would be destroyed if they exerted 16mm" and I was trying to say that smaller subs can and do have greater xmax than 16mm.
