Check out Netflix for what's available, they have a great selection:

IMO DVD is the PERFECT medium for concerts with it's quality video and multichannel capabilities.

My choices,

X-Live in Los Angeles. One of America's best rock/punk bands that nobody knows about.

BSO-Live in Japan. The Brian Setzer Orchestra's mix of rockabilly and swing band music flat out rocks. This DVD will have you jumping and jiving from start to finish. You can tell that Brian is having a lot of fun during this concert.

Has anyone watched the Audioslave concert from Cuba?

I just watched it saturdayfor the first time. (my wife bought it for me for Chrismas)
Two channel only.:( (do they make a multi-channel version?)
The band was good.:)
Good song set but not much stage presence.:(
Chris Cornell sounds horrible!:( :( I mean bad real bad on some.:( :( :(

It's a shame too Chris Cornell was one of the best rock 'n roll voices of the 90's. What happened???

I am going to watch it again to confirm that I didn't have an ice pick in my ear!!!

Did I use enough faces? The software told me I used too many so i had to edit.

Also enjoyed the Cream/Royal Albert Hall 2-disc set. Music was outstanding, but godawmighty Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce look even worse than Keith Richards, if that's possible.
Also, the LedZep 3-disc box set. I was sick of those guys, but this set made me remember why I liked them so much way back when I still had hair.

Eagles Farewell Tour 1- Live from Melbourne
everything they promised Hell Freezes Over would be but wasn't

Moody Blues Live at Royal Albert Hall
sound quality is great, but the mix between front an rear is weak.. performance is as good as it gets.

the new Eric Clapton is supposed to be awesome, as well
Dont waste your money on the Eagles Live in Melbourne. That is one boring concert. I think the performance could have been a lot better.
Money better spent would be on Cream Live at Albert Hall in DTS. That concert is stellar. Check out the drum solo on disc 2. Oh and be sure you have your sub on.

Yes - Songs from Tsongas - 35th Anniversary Concert

Yes - Songs from Tsongas - 35th Anniversary Concert (2004)

I picked this one up on impulse. I saw an earlier show that year and recognized the stage design. It turned out to be terrific. I hadn't listened to Yes for 15 years before seeing them in 2004. The sound is pretty good and the performance is tight. They are really pretty old now. Steve Howe looks like a skelaton. Anderson still can sing (not quite as high and clear as of old but still terrific). They seem to have revived good chemistry. There are less histrionics and in some ways the music and style comes through clearer than in the past. Mostly older stuff (Fragile, Close to the Edge, Going for the One) but some newer stuff too. I really enjoyed one called Ritual that I had never heard before.

Also, I agree with the earlier comment about Netflix. I like renting them through there and then buying only the ones I really like.

Where are you shipping to? What shipping method are you looking at? Every item I just looked at, that cost $25 or more, included free shipping. Am I missing something here?
Lmao, I was just being my smartass self and poking fun at sts9fan. Since Sheep said something about it I couldn't help myself. ;)

Agreed. It's horrible.

I was a little concerned when I bought it as the pricetag covered up the back and I couldn't tell if it was in stereo or 5.1. Got it home, opened it up and Stereo. Oh, well... put it in the player and gave it a try. Ugh... Not only is it Stereo... it's REALLY BAD STEREO. I haven't played it again since. What a waste...

Well I was only half following the discussion and also hadn't yet had my morning coffee. Perhaps had I had my daily caffine infusion first, I might have caught the sarcasm ;-)

More to the topic, as mentioned on a sister thread this is a killer dvd...

I'll throw in my $.02.

Blue Man Group - The Complex Rock Tour is pretty great. It is one of the DVDs I use to demo my system for concerts.

I also like some of the old clasic Rock films such as 'The Last Waltz'. Not really a concert DVD but it has some good live performances.

Speaking of Live performances, Johnathan Deme is premering a new concert film with Niel Young at Sundance. Has anyone heard any buzz on this yet?

I have the Audioslave DVD in my Netflix queue and will give it a shot. But I almost went out and bought it before asking. I added the Pixies to my queue as well.

Regarding Black Sabbath's Last Supper dvd, can someone who has it tell me if the DVD plays the concert in it's entirety? Because I have the VHS and it has them being interviewed, then plays a song or even just part of a song, then goes back to the interview.

I'd hope the DVD has the feature to watch either the concert OR the interview in their entireties instead of the annoying way the VHS was produced.

nope, the dvd is the same way, made me wonder what they were thinking when they did that, half the dvd is filled with the interview's busting in on the middle of a song.

Alice in Chains. Unplugged. Sound Quality 9+ Performance 9+. This is my wifes favorite. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1573301183/104-9257669-3335153?v=glance&n=130

Scissor Sisters. we are and so are you. Sound Quality 9 Performance 9. This is a modern group. Three of the members live an alternative lifestyle. It's a fun and original show. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006Z2LEW/104-9257669-3335153?v=glance&n=130

Rush in Rio. Great performance. The crowd is too loud, but it does make you feel like you are at the concert. I would check-out the new one. R30 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BOH90Y/104-9257669-3335153?v=glance&n=130

Korn, Rage, and Audioslave all suck in the sound quality department.
