That isn't normal at all, it shouldn't be a concern
Agreed! Both my son and I have owned a multitude of modern (and some vintage) KEF speakers over that past 9 years. He still has a 7.1 setup that includes Q500's, a Q200c center, Q800DS surrounds, and Q100 rears. That's been in place 7 years and zero issues.
