Well actually what I meant was "I was" going to order just one panel but I trust your opinion especially after admiring your HT so I know you have good taste So i'll order a few at once now instead lol . Yes I cant beleive how much cheaper they are and I think im going to try out some of those mocrosuade panels look pretty sweet.

Well I think (hope ) you will like them. The Microsuede Fabric does look cool although I have only purchased the Original Fabric. I think you will like the build quality and I'm sure the acoustic properties are similar to GIK. After all, mineral wool in a frame is not all that mysterious.. They have a lot of good info in their FAQ's section on the website.

Please let me know what you think after you get them.

Oh yes for sure but it might be a few more weeks before I order but knowing me sooner lol Yes I really like there website its very informative . Still trying to decide between the microfiber and cloth since I already ordered two of the 242 elites in cloth so will see I should have those early next week .

lol Im just finishing dinner now and then I promice BTW do you think 20 pound picture hangers will work im wondering if I should use 2 for each panel . I dont think I have studs were im going to hang them so im using those angled hangers that should work im hoping so you figure a couple of feet off the ground directly behind my front speakers are a good starting point ? See I havent even opened the box yet and im hitting you with questions left and right. Imagine when I open the box

I threw away those hangers and put drywall anchors in; I tend to over-do everything.

I didn't want big wooden boxes to fall off the wall and ding up my hardwoods.

A couple of feet off the ground shoul work. Do what looks the best.

Ughhhhhhh well bad news they screwed up my order and sent me the 244's instead Ok heres the deal I had switched from the 244's that I ordered on saturday to the 242 elites and Frank Told me he had it all straighten out and sent me the new invoice sunday and I payed the difference by paypal . Then last week I got another tracking # for another package thats due friday so I contacted Frank and he said dont worry about it unless they say there both in transit, well they do so im wondering if im going to get the Elites on friday or if they really screwed up and sent me another set of the 244's. Well atleast there black like I ordered Now I have to decide if im going to keep these or what and if not decide were im going to put them . I really dont like the idea of buying two sets when I only orded one and one isnt even what I ordered ,Oh man what a bummer : (

Too bad the 244 won't work for you. They are kind of big, but more effective across a wider frequency range than the 242's. But if they don't fit ...

I’m sure GIK will take care of you either way.

BTW, I received my custom sized ATS panels this week and they look good. I’m just sayin …

Well I hung the 244's and actually had to move my speakers away from the wall farther but thats a good thing anyway and should of a long time ago and moved my subs farther away from the wall so the 244 would fit behind one of them . I guess my 242 elites will be here friday so im still tying to decide if im going to keep one or the other or keep both They offered me free shipping back for the one I didnt want. So at this point im undecided, I have noticed of difference in sound quality its sounds more solid its hard to explain but its sounds good. Tonight im going to test out a movie You should post up some pics of your ATS PANELS . I think the rest of my room might be done with ATS Panels or maybe all of it if decide too return everything. Although they do have some nice corner bass traps they just came out with but i'd hate to order some and get ceiling panels instead after waiting over 2 weeks Ya im still a still a little upset.

They dont look to bad but there for sure more functional then they are visualy pleasing . Im trying to figure out if I keep both if I should put the 244's on the back wall and the better looking 242 elites when I get them on the front stage ? I know they'll look better there but I want or prefer performance over looks lol . Anyway heres some pics let me know what you guys think and as far as if my 242's will work better there and the 244's in the back of the room .

I think they look pretty good (they are what they are). I think they could be a little bit lower on the wall (I see you’re into symmetry) and the wood framed 242's are more finished looking so should look better up front. The 244's will help some with LF back wall reflections. Anyway, good for you for starting down the treatments path. While you may lose some in terms of room aesthetics, you should have a nice gain in SQ and you’re not married so enjoy it while you can .

Thanks I cant mount them any lower though because of electrical outlets on the wall in use . I am going to try putting the Elites there though when they arrive and see how they look but I kind of like How they are blending in being all black and look like there part of the system but will see. They did make a big differrence in sound quality though, really sounds good . Yes no wife here now i've already done my time lol j/k now I just lease with option to buy Cant wait to see your pics of your new ATS panels !
