Generally speaking, best location for bass traps is room corners or back wall. Of course each room/system is different.

I haven't done any lfe/movie testing yet but for some reason just casual not at reference listening it seems to sound better with the 244's up front but again haven't tested it yet with any heavy LFE .

Since you seem kinda fond of bass, you may want to give it a go. The good news is, with the way the GIK's mount swaping them out is easy .

Thats true im just lazy today I really do like the recessed back on the Gik with the simple but effective hanging systems does make it easy to move them around . Those mounting systems on the ATS are those brackets what you have to use ? I really dont want to have to drill holes in my walls incase I ever move things around like im doing now is a prime example .

Yes, the single point mount of the GIK's is nice. Sounds like the ticket for you.

Due primarily to this hobby, I have become very acomplished at wall patching so it is never really a consideration .

LOL I wonder if the small 2 x 2 ATS squares have those same bracket mount ? I'd like to throw a couple of those above the display for the designer series look in black suede

Yes they do. It actually is easier than it looks to mount them. I just ordered two of the 2'X2' panels myself.

Hmmm im tempted But note to self I must stay loyal to GIK they really hooked me up I know for sure though some of the new corner bass traps from GIK are on my list
