Anyone know of any good Sub Plate amplifiers? I know of Dayton, but are they any others? Really was into Car Audio, and have built some awesome enclosures, but now i want to attempt a home theater sub.

Thanks,
Dave

Depends on what your building I guess. More serious builders use pro amps, but for plates I would look at a Bash 500. "Speaker power" probably makes the best ones.

I don't use plate amps on my diy subs, use a rack style amp as there's really no good reason to put the amp and sub in the same enclosure other than aesthetics. More value and utilitiy in rack style amps generally as well. Like William says, SpeakerPower are among the best either way (but are kinda expensive :) ).

They new Dayton DSP plate amps look like they could be quite good, if a bit pricey.
