Ironman 2 on BluRay

Finally got around to watching this past Friday. My impressions are that the first one is miles better than teh second one. I was expecting teh same balance of humour and action in this one but it let me down. Like others in this thread have mentioned, the replacment played by Cheadle's Rhodie just seemed wrong and the two didn't seem to have any chemistry between them. The sound track was good. Out of 10, I give it a 7. Its ear and eye candy but the story never grabbed me like the first one.

I like Cheadle, but in this role, I think Howard did a better job. The story was all over the place. It had a few too many elements that, while all related, didn't really come together to tell an interesting story, since the individual parts weren't that interesting. Tony Stark as a character, and to some extent the action, carry the whole movie. I wasn't disappointed with it, it just feels like a "middle" movie, and as mentioned, a launch pad for Avengers and Captain America. If you didn't catch it, that was Captain America's shield that was used to prop up the tube in the "new element" scene.

I saw Iron Man 2 at the theater weeks ago, but I just got a chance to watch it on blu-ray yesterday on my day off @ reference 90dB level.

I thought the movie was excellent - even better than the first one (both story-wise and sound quality).

This is now my DEMO REFERENCE disc.

Hands down the best sound I have ever heard!

Interesting how it is in DTS-HD MA, while the first Iron Man BD was in Dolby TrueHD.

Dialogue was clear and strong, surrounds were active, and the LFE was the best I've ever heard!

My whole body was literally shaking throughout this movie - the most amazing experience I've ever had.

It made Transformers BD sound like mono.

A must own!

... did anyone else catch the teaser at the very end where the SHIELD agent that was sent to New Mexico arrived to find a huge crater and what looked like Thor's hammer?
