Seriously, I have no life.
I got the new, replacement woofers installed and the speakers sound really terrific. I have them hooked up to my computer amp, 8" Yamaha sub off so I can really hear them. Playing The Alpha Band "Statue Makers of Hollywood" (T-Bone Burnett's band from late 70's) LP (recorded) and I am hearing plenty of more detail. I am impressed!
Now, sub on and I am rockin'!
I was pretty sure you would like those speakers. Even though you had to replace the drivers, they were excellent value for money.

Axioms are not hard to beat. They set a low bar, I certainly hope mine are better than Axioms.
Yours sound great. I didn't compare A-B (or abc, if you include my home made jobbers) with yours. I brought them directly into the 2 channel room.

I bought the Axioms (or actually made a trade) from Midwest Speaker about 5 years ago.

I think I will hook yours up to this amp and do an A-B (forget "c") comparison with the Infinity's. I'll post what I think I hear.

Well....@TLS Guy , the infinities beat out everything I have bookshelf size in the house. Fuller sound. But I bet you knew that that would be the result. The new woofers are a great upgrade.
I A-B'd with the Axioms again and I like them a lot too. Yours sound great though. Back in the 2 channel room they go!

What are your thoughts on any of these? He doesn't list or show many model numbers.

Probably not interested in the Polks. But any others. Considering to replace/improve my heights and surrounds. I would eventually like 3 more if I improve both HT's. I suppose, I would consider this guy's Infinity, for the heights in the living room. Depending on his price of course.
Thinking about his Advents too. The JBL's I think are low-end.

Advent were good speakers.

Thx Mark. I found another pair of the same Infinities. Probably will need woofers eventually if not right away. I might consider the advents. Not sure. I just may leave the bedroom system alone, Although, I changed the surrounds to some M7's with radio snack woofers, which are fine. I'll sell those that I built with the metal cones.

Sorry for the OT. But I have a pair of DLK speakers. They apparently were the house brand speaker of schaak electronics on Snelling. I bought them from my neighbor. She said her dad bought them as a kit. I R&R’d them and gave them to my oldest son. They sound really nice. Especially paired with a subwoofer as they are sealed speakers. If memory serves, Schaak was purchased by sound of music, which became Best Buy.
Which model? DLK was a house brand at all Schaak Electronics stores. Omega was another line, very low budget.

If yours are the small bookshelf, I would guess that the model is 1/4- if they have the tweeters like the ones in the photo, those are Peerless KOP10DT, or some variant.

Can anyone tell me about these: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1076293420377185/?ref=saved&referral_code=null
He says he replaced the woofers and he said they are the same as oem, but not clear poly. I cannot find anything Infinity with that woofer on an interweb search. I asked him for the model number and he said he cannot tell me until he gets to his storage. Maybe he'll answer soon.
The woofer that was installed crooked looks like some kind of Peerless which is a decent driver, but it may not be right for that enclosure.

For which? For those Advents on his first photo?

No, the infinity speakers-

BTW- I saw a pair of ELAC speakers and another pair of Mission 771 speakers on FB marketplace in MPLS, for $120 and $200, respectively- not sure if that's in the budget.

I see what you mean.... they do look crooked!

I guess that would be considered 'lack of attention to detail' when it was installed, or the holes for the original woofers don't allow using the straight edges for alignment.

If you're interested, someone has a pair of KEF Q100 for $150, too.

I believe mine are model “1”. I think they have dual 6-1/2. They’re very solid and pretty heavy. Laminate over plywood maybe.
