Nothing wrong with having a backup. Click to expand... I don't care about the remote... I'm just pissed that I didn't think of pressing the green button after you guys filled me in. I had already convinced myself that I still needed the other remote to teach the green button command. Whatever...I didn't get home until about 1am last night from the office so I was in no mood. My wife leaves for a business trip on Sunday, so I'll have the entire day uninterrupted to tie up these loose ends. Suddently the Harmony isn't switching the input correctly for my WATCH TV command. It always fixes it easy enough but still goes to the wrong input even thught the correct one is selected in the activity. its just stupid stuff like that I just need to sit down and figure out and get corrected.

Thats why people go with amx, crestron, control4, urc etc. bullet proof once your system starts to get more complicated. The harmony should be fine once all the kinks are addressed, but as you said its a PIA. Good luck I know its frustrating.

This is one of the reasons I use EventGhost to control everything. Free automation software. Works great as long as the remote communicates properly. My use for a Harmony remote would be considerably different. Reactions: crossedover

Right now... if I press the WATCH TV, it just goes to HDMI 1 rather than HDMI 2. I press fix and a second later It's fine. From goofing around with stuff as much as I have, I could have done something. Who know. I'll kill the activity, redo it, and go from there. It's about a minute and thirty seconds to do so. Not really a big deal at all. The iPad App is fantastic. I actually use it more than the remote itself. We have the two extra iPads which we're going to donate to the local school, so this will give me the reason to buy a 7" tablet which I think is the perfect size for both the Harmony and XBMC apps. For what I need a $100 android tablet should make a perfect remote. Reactions: crossedover
