Ahh...Looks like waiting til the end to make my sub purchase just became more complicated!

WOW!

The VTF-1 looks sweet! 25Hz +/- 1dB ground plain. And you can turbocharge it. The VTF-2 hits 18Hz now. Jees. HSU just pulled a huge, and IMO, impressive move.

That is very nice. I wonder how affective the mid-bass powered woofer is.

I'm curious too, but only in conjunction with their subs?

It's exactly what Mule needs! :D

I think the new VTF-2 will replace my DPS-12.

The STF-2 and VTF-2 are already on sale. The VTFs apparently the primary changes are in the enclosure, the drivers and amps seem to be the same from what I read on the HSU forums.

We have to be a bit careful and cautious when using just "VTF-2" or "VTF-3", and talking about what has changed. With respect to deep bass performance:

VTF-3 Mk3 is much more similar to VTF-3 HO than to VTF-3 Mk2.
VTF-2 Mk3 is much more similar to VTF-3 Mk2 than to VTF-2 Mk2.
VTF-1 is much more similar to VTF-2 M2 than to STF-1.

Hope that clarifies things a little bit :)

Turbocharger is easily removeable, it just slides right out. It just looks like a small box on top of a much larger box, and the bent porting structure is really not even visible from the listening position when the subwoofer is placed in a corner.

Here is an example:

Ugly, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.
Ugly? Dr. Hsu could paint them purple and I'd still use them.

Granted, I wish they still offered the rosewood or piano black finish :(

Like I've been saying all along, the future looks VERY bright for HSU!!!!!!
