sooo-does the HSU sound better/tighter bass with music than the SVS-I have a PB-3000 and I would like an improvement mainly in the bass guitar frequency range-I guess that would be mid bass -I don't give a flip about movie sound-just music!--I've been thinking of getting the same ones you did-just wondered if you were happy with them-thanks
The PB-3000 is pretty good for mid-bass. If you want an improvement, I suggest looking at placement and calibration changes. Maybe adding a second one for a smoother room response. I don't think a different subwoofer is going to make a real difference if you haven't already addressed acoustic issues which wouldn't be the result of the subwoofer itself.
