Curious to know what you think on Trump's threat of I dunno what he said destroying Iran? One person said part of it is bluff to get a ceasefire. I'm guessing Trump means the radical political power and not the whole country. Obviously I don't buy into Hegseth or Leavitt's statements lol.

Also the ceasefire doesn't include Lebanon so curious to know what you think on that.

The UK announced that the Royal Navy has been tracking three Russian submarines mapping undersea cables for the last four weeks. One was nuclear and the other two survey submarines. There was also a Russian war ship in the vicinity.

They have been warned to stop or the RN may engage.

In the North Atlantic both the RN and Norwegian navies have been busy tracking Russian war ships. There has been a lot of activity close and North of Greenland.

Meanwhile, idiot Trump is berating European navies for not opening the Straights of Hormuz. He is threatening to pull out of Nato over it.

You can not protect a sea route like that without having control of the land and the shore line. So a ground invasion would be a prerequisite. It would also require overwhelming air superiority in the region. Then mines would have to be detected and dealt with.

Trump is a senile idiot and does not have the fist clue as to how great an undertaking opening the Straights for safe navigation actually is.

I am increasingly concerned this war could escalate outside the Middle East and especially to the North Atlantic. Other theaters that could open up include the North Sea, Mediterranean, Arabian Sea, Red Sea, Persian Gulf and even the Indian Ocean. The longer this continues the higher the risk of a widening war.

I would have thought Russia would know where the cables are, considering the damage they have already caused to them.

I'm not sure Russia can enter this in a meaningful way- their forces are losing interest, the pledged pay only comes after they die, so they AREN'T paid, their drones are being shot down by the joint venture between Ukraine and Japan which only cost $2000 and at the cost of Russian rockets, they have to come to the conclusion that the cost isn't worth paying.
