How close are we to WWIII?

Again, exactly what would you change? You haven't made that clear in any of your posts about abandoning the current Constitution or made vauge references, for that matter.

Anyone can say "We need a new government!", but at least come up with some ideas.

As fondly as you seem to view your homeland, you only visit occasionally- would you move back, considering all of the problems in that country?
Funnily enough, the best Constitution is NO constitution, or at least a very simple and loose one. The rigid Constitutions like the US has all get into to trouble and fail if you look at it.

Trump wants to impose Tariffs on countries that will not support his Greenland adventure. This guy does not even obey International law, let alone ours.

A death grip on power is the same for each- not something that should be allowed.
Lying shouldn't be allowed but just look at the republicans go with that one! Supporting the biggest liar ever. Open corruption in SCOTUS. Republican congress letting detanged Donnie do what ever pops up in his tiny head.

I know I'm out of my depth talking about the constitution but it's been pointed out to me that it elevated more people out of abject poverty than any other document in history. No constitution is what they had before 1776 and the declaration of independence. This beats that by a mile. I'd say we or rather they did alright with the constitution. Like way the f^%& better than what was going on before it came into existence.

I have to say, I'm a big fan. I mean if wasn't into it, I'd pick some other country to live in.

He is inviting a boycott by Europeans on American products, as well as travel to the US. Canadian boycotts* on American booze and travel to the US have had a huge impact on US distilleries and travel destinations. Can you imagine the impact of a boycott by a market 10x larger?

*To be clear, this isn't something I want. Many Americans who want nothing to do with this trade war are being adversely affected. But, when our hand is forced...well, we gotta do what we gotta do.

Keep on going Trump. Not only will you isolate the US from the rest of the world with your foolish quests but you will severely lower the standard of living in the US with a strong risk of another civil war.

So, Trump is really trying to create WWIII. He is working hard at it now. He says that he will fight any NATO country with troops in Greenland, that now includes most of the European countries in the NATO alliance. He has imposed a 10% tariff on countries that have sent troops to Greenland, with the threat of raising it to 25%. Republicans need to wake up and Impeach Trump ASAP. The UK have now sent troops to Greenland. Russia has said that if the US sends troops to Greenland they will as well, and they will be an enemy of the US. But they will not be allied to the NATO countries and would keep Greenland for themselves. So this is the opposite result that Trump's rational for sending forces to Greenland would achieve. So I assume US forces could be fighting Russian troops in Greenland all while Trump has destroyed the NATO alliance.

Or it's exactly the plan he and Putin had?

NATO is formidable even without the U.S.:

Population: 632 Million (US=348M, Russia=143M)
Military Budget: $610 Billion (US=$900B, Russia=64B)
Active Personnel: 2.1 Million (US=1.4M, Russia=1.3M)
Tanks: 6,855 (US=4,640, Russia=5,750)
Aircraft: 8,036 (US=13,043, Russia=4,292)
Navy: 671 (US=480, Russia=375)
Nuclear Weapons: 515 (US=5,177, Russia=5,600)

This is current state and with Europe modernizing and re-arming, these figures will certainly increase. It also wouldn't surprise me if it expands to include Japan and South Korea.
Yes with the USA becoming hyper-insular, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, as well as the South East Asian nations will all be looking at their positions, alliances, economic ties/systems...

Trump is forcing the world to become independent of the USA... in the process sacrificing 80+ years of building soft power, which established the USA a the primary superpower globally...

Another interesting group to watch will be the US origin global multinationals... will they remain US bound, and have their international departments/sections shut down or amputated.... or will they migrate and base themselves elsewhere?

Will Apple become Irish? Dell perhaps Singaporean? HP? Google? etc...

The USA transformed its entire economy based on a globalised "free market" (quote marks as it is the marketing term, rather than the proper economic definitions!!) - hence many (most?) USA companies outsourced their manufacturing and support to places where labor was (often no longer!) cheap.
Now the USA finds itself with an idiot toddler playing with matches in charge, totally dependent on the globalised business infrastructure it built, and with the toddler specifically targeting that same infrastructure!!

Look at the F35 fighters - another globalised effort - with parts being built all over the world... what happens to F35 manufacturing (and support) if those global supply links disappear?!

A loose "libertarian" system, would have had Trump fully in charge by now... the checks and balances work slowly but we are starting to see results with some of them.

Constitutions are intended precisely to control someone like Trump - they first came into being to control other Tyrannical rulers, and the drafters of the USA constitution clearly stated that their intent was to ensure that no single individual would have that sort of power within the US system...

Perhaps the major flaw, as has been seen a few times over the last decade or so, is that the constitution as currently drafted makes it too hard to apply the necessary checks and balances... repeated impeachments with clear culpability have been politically neutered.

When the check and balance organizations go away (or simply rendered useless) as has happened with the republicans' support of drumphy.....

Under a Parliamentary democracy a prime minister can be easily removed and have been on many occasions.
