But they're NOT equal, therefore the discrepancy. I personally would NOT take the time to clean vinyls and clean the stylus and bother with all the maintenance that goes with it if I thought they sounded equal. In my humble opinion vinyls ARE SUPERIOR !!!
OK, let say for sake of discussion vinyl is superior.
That superiority fades, for all the reasons I mentioned in my earlier post.

I remember my vinyl days.
Back in 1977 whenever I purchased a new album, I would get two.
Just to save one, and not have it subjected to the wear and tear.
I got tired of the cleaning and preserving systems for vinyl, too much like work.

Exactly. The high resolution of the CD can reveal limitations of the source tape that vinyl, with its substantially lower resolution, cannot. Surely you did not misinterpret that disclaimer as suggesting that CD is not fundamentally better in every way!
Ha ha very funny. You seem to forget that vinyl and other analog formats NEVER have to go through all the encoding and decoding (and other sound degrading processes) that CD and other digital formats have to. So NO I did NOT misinterpret the disclaimer. It was saying that CD can't capture all the information from the ANALOG source tape.

Enough said on this topic. I've made my case and you've made yours and I think we've jacked this guys thread enough already.

Any good Guitar or Sax.

Elegant Gypsy from Al Dimeola. Mediterranean Sundance, track 3 is
absolutely amazing acoustic guitar playing. He does a duet with
some other guy, can't remember his name off the top of my head.
